You look at me
What do you see?
Gazing out with your great
Green eyes.
Wide wise eyes,
Or evil eyed?
Which one will you be?
Your huge ego
May continue to grow.
Just be gentle
Don’t hurt me.
New paintings and regular art updates.

Such strange creatures
Monsters of myth
Seen in the morning
In the valley in a mist.
Draco, dragon, leather winged
Sharp of teeth
It’s head fringed
With scales or feathers
Glistening claws
How ugly they are
With ferocious Jaws!

In, out
Wash
Out, in
Pounce
Up, down
Dinner
Down, up
Sleep
Sideways
Wake
Round and round
Wash
A cats life
Out, in
Jump
And eight more…

Waiting fot the green to grow
Looking for the water flow
Abstract colours
Leafy feeling
Are your colours
At all appealing?
Glossy green,
And deep blue
Lots of subtle colour
Hue.

Two lone geese
Sitting in a lake
Cold wet feet
But they look sweet.
Ripples in the water
Dancing on the lake
Geese are very calm
Not leaving a wake.
Twigs and branches fall
Whipped by the wind.
Soon the geese may fly
Then see them on the wing.

There was a cat called Ginger
He was really fat
He went upstairs quite slowly
And at the top he sat
I called him for his breakfast
I called him for his tea.
But there he lay upon his mat
Until he rolled and jumped back down
Much slimmer now, not fat!

Oh you beauty
Colours split
Spring in a rainbow sits
Gaudy yellows
Proper reds
Generous greens
Flower heads
Blues and purples
Different hues
Oh what fun
When a filter is used!

Falling glasses. When you need reading glasses but can manage without them. You rest them on your knees- then they fall off! I was taking a photo of my cat but fumbled with the phone and snapped (not literally) my glasses instead!
What a view
Falling through
The air
Onto my shoe!
You were meant to be
My cat
But as you can see
From where they sat
On my knee
Glasses – not a cat
Fell flat
Splat!

Spinning head
Twisting top
My mind rotates
it just won’t stop
Thoughts tumble
Round and round
My thinking fuddled
Worries sound
In my head
All around.
Lots of problems
in the world
Let’s make peace
Speak calm words
And emnity cease.

Buds are bursting
Leaves are appearing
Pigeons are roosting in the rain
The sky’s are grey
Ducks and geese wander
Round Westport Lake.
A gentle walk
Taking in the view
Dampened by the drizzle
Laceworks of twigs
Fill in the gaps
Soon there will be daffodils
Crocuses and tulips
Then May blossom.
March,
In like a lion
Out like a lamb
(or vice versa)
Soon to be revealed…..
