Bright and beautiful
Who was the artist
Who loved colour
Expressed joy
Have to their community
Shared happiness.
I’m glad to see it
As I walk past.
New paintings and regular art updates.

Gnarley trees in the graveyard
Stand and wave hello
We walked beneath their boughs today
Watching them slowly grow.
Allowed to reach maturity
Their girth spreading wide,
Leaves will be opening soon
Bringing them back to life.
Spring and Easter come again,
The end of winter strife.

Random
Objects
For my course.
A found skull,
A cat shaped
Ring holder
A penny farthing
Ornament.
No rhyme or reason
Just colourful
With some meaning
For me.

Trees and road markings,
black asphalt,
branches reach out and hold hands,
a pylon of arching twigs.
Shimmering blue sky,
with added silver,
dreaming of spring days.
If I look closely?
I see slitted pupils,
in great round eyes,
the hat metamorphoses
into a black beak?
Gold, black and blue,
brightly hued,
your cages of twigs,
snare birds who
nest in warm romance.

Unblinking, bright eyed.
She knows what she wants..
Love
Food
Safety.
She will stare
And stare
Hypnotically
Till she melts your heart.
What do you want?
You ask, gently..
She stands,
Stretches
Reaches out her paws
Puts her paws on your knees
And claws holes in them!

Ping!
Look at me!
See me!
Hear me!
Ping!
Your news!
Your ads!
Your games!
Ping!
Listen to me!
See the news!
My propaganda!
Fake news!
You can’t loose!
You choose!
Ping!
Gambling!
Scams!
Tax dodges!
Ping!
Pavlovian!
Your phone!

Mother
Gone
Not forgotten.
Strong
Gentle
Caring
Intelligent
Hard working
Moral
Ethical
She held it together
When we needed her
I wish I could hold her hand
Hug her
Tell her how much I miss her.

Cold, dark, windy
Not wet yet
Clouds cross the sky
Blot the stars
Sunset brings chill air
Creeping across the land,
Grass flattens against its cheek.
One step then another
Striding? More a cold shuffle
Tired feet and knees
But I keep going.
My walk is short for you.
But it’s enough for me….

Come on cat
Come on in
It’s blowing a gale
And raining hail
A storm is coming
And you’re outside
I’ve called your name
But instead you hide!
Come on in cat
Don’t be shy
There’s food here for you
Through the storm, fly
Run in now
Listen to my call
Don’t stay out
Through the heavy rain fall!
Come in
Be comfy
Stay a while
Be warm and happy
Prodigal feline in style.

Two eyes
A nose
Offset mouth.
Is that a bearded
Chin?
Red faced
And angry?
Small grill..
Gritted teeth..
Crossed eyes
Too close together
Describing a face
That’s what I see..
