26.3 miles
That’s how far I walked this week.
It’s not far for some people but it is far to me…I’ve also got my hubby out walking. He’s tired but he’s enjoyed the couple of times he’s been out. Next week I hope to go a little bit further. Maybe by doing a couple of walks a day? We will see… And I almost walked a Marathon this week. X

I found this face in these tree roots. Could be a little devil? You never really know what you are going to find until you play with an image. What fun…

We had to imagine some characters to add to an illustration so I drew these. I’m not sure whether they are OK. I did a large face so it comes forward in the image, a genie that eminates from the gas fire in the illustration and a fairy just taking in the view…

The resulting image is quite strange, with added fix, owl, horse, bug and cat. Then I added some flowers and plants..

Bad photos so I used filters on my phone then Instagram to bring out the colours, I need to find a way of taking pictures without shadows and glare on the page….

Don’t cry for those that are gone. They cannot feel your tears. Wherever they are they can’t hear you. Remember them but don’t cry. Cry for the living, cry for those that have lost loved ones, talk to them about their loss. Don’t stay quiet and hope it will be OK. They need your words of solace.
And don’t forget the poor, the ill and the starving. The ones that are always forgotten. Take care of them, support them. Help them where you can. One day you will be gone too, but others will still be here. Then hope they get help too from others. So life supports life. And share love.

Two eyes
A nose
Offset mouth.
Is that a bearded
Chin?
Red faced
And angry?
Small grill..
Gritted teeth..
Crossed eyes
Too close together
Describing a face
That’s what I see..

Another day another walk, so posting some more photographic experiments. If you remember to include a diagonal line in the photo you can create all sorts of patterns and surrealistic effects. Using the layout app that links in to Instagram and Facebook.

I only did a short walk of two and a half miles today. But in my defence my knees and feet are sore and I still walked uphill. I’m on day 33 of my #100daywalkingchallenge, basically about a third of the way through it. I’ve learnt that five miles is about my limit at the moment. Going uphill is somehow easier on my knees than walking downhill. I’ve managed to jog slightly. I like watching the world change as the days lengthen (but are getting colder again). That it’s easier to do two short walks than one long one. And that I can manage without travelling miles in the car as long as I get out and about (oh, and with the car door playing up, so I can’t always unlock it from the outside, it’s a good job I can walk!)

Doodle in ArtRage oils. I haven’t used it for a while but I don’t want to forget how to use it. I might try and make it more interesting… As it is he looks like a slightly sad character. Trying to appeal to the caring side of me…..

Turning a tree into a bug… Photograph of a tree last week, I decided to mirror it in four sections. I deliberately centered on the blue in the background which I also think gives a feeling of a stained glass window.
