I’m cracking up
I have to say-
I’ve really had
A funny day.
It wasn’t droll
It wasn’t bad
It wasn’t silly
It wasn’t sad
It has just been
A little odd
I’m wondering whether
I need a pod
Of dolphins –
Who’ll swim with me
Till my head spins
No more, and I am me!
Feathers,
Cut and cropped
Then twirled
Captured in a frame
They cannot fall
But are held
In crazed glass
Or a cracked mirror,
Life confused by art.
In a crazed,
cracked bowl
Sits an Apple
Green and crunchy
Ready to eat
Crisp skin
Flecked with gold.
Sharp tasting
But sweet
Glistening
Old lemons in a cracked and crazed bowl, observational drawing, it’s 1.35am on a Thursday morning, what else would I be doing? Next I’m going to watch the joy of painting with Bob Ross…. What a strange life I’m living!
