The cat sat on the textured mat
A filter changed its shape
It’s spikey and crinkly
Coloured and wrinkly
But the cat is relaxed
Not very fat
Contented on the mat.

You can use digital filters to play with original drawings. It’s something I do occasionally to see how the image will look if it’s altered. There are so many different styles that you can use. So many apps out there that offer different filters.
I did this drawing a couple of months ago, I want to get out and do more, but the cost of living means things are getting a bit to expensive. I paint and draw because that’s what I have to do. I don’t necessarily think about selling things and making money. If and when anything happens to me there will be a house full of art that needs sorting out! ❤️
A smoothly dimpled plastic box lid that I photographed and filtered through a few apps. I won’t go into detail but I’m pleased with the result, something between an x-ray photograph of a crystal lattice or a waffle covered in a purple fruit sauce?! Then with added scratches to give it an aged feel. I do love playing with images.
Happy cat. I decided to play with using a black and white filter then adding texture and then a flood fill of red and green. I think it is similar in an Andy Warhol image (though I make no claim of having the same sort of skills as him) I just think it shows how digital filters now can quickly change an image that would have required skills such as black and white photography and screen printing in the past.
The previous drawing with various digital filters. Like an old painting on peeling board. Some filters seem to work better than others. Maybe I should be more creative with them and let them run riot! ❤️
These were achieved using various photodirector filters, inverting colours and adding texture.
Digital filtered image of the moon over the horizon. I’m trying to make it look like a screen print. I might make a painting of this. The colours and texture appeal to me.
I love pattern so when I painted this I thought I was happy with it. THEN I decided to put it through a filter and add texture. Now I think I will paint over it and emphasise the curves and patterns. Making the most of the Holly and Ivy leaves and concentrating on the various greens. I could see it as a card or a notelet. I do love green men.
I’m cracking up
I have to say-
I’ve really had
A funny day.
It wasn’t droll
It wasn’t bad
It wasn’t silly
It wasn’t sad
It has just been
A little odd
I’m wondering whether
I need a pod
Of dolphins –
Who’ll swim with me
Till my head spins
No more, and I am me!
This is a bit of an orphaned post. I tried to edit a draft post but I’m still not completely up to speed with WordPress blocks so I added a photo and categories and tags but couldn’t work out where to add text… Its taken at least ten minutes to get here… The zoom photo has been filtered to hide the identities of the participants, I’m also not saying what it was about. I just liked the colours and patterns on this screen grab.
X
Taken from a photo,
not just black and white.
This cats whiskers
Are long and thin and bright.
Sturdy and determined
Brindled fur and paw.
Eyes glaring strongly,
Nose in the air.
Walking up to greet me,
Nuzzle at my hand,
A cat with a character.
This cats love is grand.
