Installing jetpack was OK but sorting my phone storage out first was the problem. I felt like I was launching my phone at the moon, without a rocket to take it. I knew I would need to free up space as currently my phone is 85% full. But what to uninstall? Which apps are crucial to my phone running properly and which could I delete? I randomly chose a few I rarely use. I still need to upgrade my memory but my phone shop didn’t have the right chip in and needs to order them in. So my dilemma (and I was catastrophising I think) was would things work after I did it. Well clearly it did, but jetpack took a while to install, probably due to the amount of data it had to bring over.
Well I’ve done it. I don’t like the look of it. That’s just because I’m used to the old site. I felt sad uninstalling WordPress, it feels like I have cut ties with it. It’s strange how you become invested in something so ephemeral as a computer app. I hope I get used to this. X

I’ve been panicking because I made some new glass pendants but I had no chains or laces to hang them on. In the end I went to our local supermarket and found some plain chains that were reduced a bit in price. As I make one off things I don’t use wholesalers so it’s a bit difficult to just find an appropriate match for the pendants.
I used my business cards to display the pendants. I realise now that my vibrant painting matches the colours on my jewellery.
They will be for sale at the Waiting room gallery in Longport, Stoke-on-Trent.
Thursdays #bandofsketchers prompt was new. OK, I struggled with this, then drew a new self portrait using monoprint paper and silver foil, then adding my face as if in a cracked mirror. The mouth is down, but that’s what happens to me when I’m relaxed!

I’m going walking
A long way
Far into the distance
And maybe back again.
I’m going walking
For 100 days
Come rain or shine
I’m moving forward
I’m going walking
So new boots
To help me travel
Over the earth.
I’m going walking
I Wave as I pass.
See you in May?
If I get back

Thou shalt not
Meet more than one person from another household.
Travel from your tier to another tier
Visit relatives in nursing homes
Have a party for New Year’s Eve
Visit non essential shops
Buy too much toilet roll
Go out without a mask
Thou shall
Wear a mask
Wash your hands
Maintain a social distance
Buy just enough toilet roll
(well it has been a s***** year!)
Apologies if this is offensive.

Sharp Green buds against brick
Cold clay and icy air
Embrace growth
Shelter root and branch
warming earth holds moisture
Fresh leaves are waiting
Ready to burst
Spring is round the corner
Sprouting
Soon.

Apologies to Google for using their map? This is a new Art Centre with local artists work being displayed and for sale. I’m really pleased that I’ve got some of my paintings there.

Yes, I’ve just deleted a few tens of posts so that I can carry on posting here (my memory was full) hopefully the ones I’ve removed were not too interesting, they hadn’t got many likes. I will continue to remove a few more and decide whether to upgrade soon.
