Once I was two
Now I am one
I don’t know where
The other has gone
I am alone
I am so lost
My heart is stone
Turned into frost
I will go on
Into the world
Until one day
I will be gone.
New paintings and regular art updates.

Once I was two
Now I am one
I don’t know where
The other has gone
I am alone
I am so lost
My heart is stone
Turned into frost
I will go on
Into the world
Until one day
I will be gone.

Flaking paint scatters
Like dry blue snow
Bubbled by sunight
A patch of metal on show
So scrape off the old
And paint on the new
Go on, be bold
Then damp as the dew
Paint the wall gold
A liquid will run
Until it solidifies
In the hot sun.

What will happen.
Where will we be?
Who shall save us
If needs be?
We watch the world
And what do we see?
Too much damage
Too many crimes
No one caring
No big fines.
The world is creeping
Towards catastrophe?
Who even cares,
You or me?
The corporate world
Has profits to collect.
Shareholders to pay
Not tomorrow, but today.
Not caring whether
There money causes trouble
While all around?
The Earth turns to rubble.
Give peace a hope
Give earth a chance
Stay one of the ‘Woke’
In this merry dance.

Fizz, bang, pop
Float to the top
Gas out of liquid
Sparkling fluid
Carbon dioxide
Pressurised
Hydration
Held in suspension
Zingy flavours
Open top.. Hiss
A tonic and a bliss

Pat and bat
Vat and Mat
So many words
Rhyme with Cat.
Like sat and drat
Fat and splat
Is it the at
On the end that
Makes what
I write flat

I saw a dragon
Hiding in plain sight
Standing by graffiti
Under a street light
But when I looked away
And looked again
I say!
The dragon it was gone
It decided not to stay!
I just wanted a pic
On my phone
But it was too quick!
So sadly all I have
Is its tail- just the tip
And a shower of loose scales
One of many epic fails!
Goodbye dragon
And now you’re gone!

Triangles and squares
Tangled nightmares?
Or coloured patches
Tiles as thatches
Worn and softened
By digital drawing hand
Playing with space
In this doodling race
Rainbow that rhymes
Abstract at times.

Walk that lonely road,
Carry a heavy load
Head down with your thoughts
Tangled up and caught.
Never look around
Don’t listen to the sound
Of singing birds
Or spoken words…
They are hidden
And are unbidden
From you world
Mind unstirred
Alone.

Sometimes you just have to rest
Even though you try your best
To do the things
You need to do
Too tired to rhyme
So I’ll have some time
To myself today
Not work, not play
Just relax
And rest
For half an hour!
And close my eyes
And sleep

Such strange creatures
Monsters of myth
Seen in the morning
In the valley in a mist.
Draco, dragon, leather winged
Sharp of teeth
It’s head fringed
With scales or feathers
Glistening claws
How ugly they are
With ferocious Jaws!
