New paintings and regular art updates.
Books, important things
Full of knowledge
Truth and lies
Freedom to think
Words have strength
Shout out loud
Of time and history.
So many subjects
Art, Biology, Cheese and wine
Gullivers travels
Earth and sky.
Let them live,
Don’t ban books
Or burn them
Fahrenheit 451
Flames lick away
Knowledge, peace, understanding
A bookshelf a day
Keeps misunderstanding
At bay.
Glue, Glitter and paint
Blue, green and black
Spiralling round
Like a maze on the ground
Metallic paint
Set with sparkles
Like an ancient mound
The path wound around
Playing with art
Staying happy.
Just look at me! I’m a daffodil face!
A nose, two eyes, and ears in place?
I could be a skull
Or a monster too
I definitely am yellow
And a little sallow
I wonder what beast
I could be the least
Beautiful flower
Or petals in a bower…
Bad rhymes
Silly times!
Love writes a story
A thread in your life
It may be long,
Or short.
It may only exist in your mind
A fleeting idea
Gone in seconds
Or love might
Last a lifetime
Tie your tongue,
Close your eyes
Ignore reality
Hold you tight
Love can be
Wonderful or wicked.
I am lucky
To love.
There’s something about
An empty bench
That invites and repels too…
Shall I sit
Or shall I go?
The light is right
A figure would be good
But no one was around
No person to be found
To rest a while
Take off their weight
And cast it to the ground
Or the bench….
Twigs and branches
Boughs and trunks
In the winter shaken loose
March winds
Bend and break
Damaging weather
Lost limbs
Moss grows
Lichen too
Fungi found in boles
Hoots in holes.
Tree life.
Oak or Ash
April brings
Soak or splash.
Friends chat
Over a filter coffee
So I take a photo
Add a filter
On my phone
Filtered friends
Filtered conversation
Fun exploration
Of life.
What’s something most people don’t understand?
Clouds and fractals
Fjords and lightning strikes
The Mandelbrot set
Strange attractors
Entangled Electrons
Quantum Mechanics
Heisenbergs Uncertainty
These are a few things
I don’t understand!
But I’d like to try….
Grey Dawn awoke me
Went to bed at three
Read a book to soothe
But could not grasp sleep
Dreaming the word eluded
My mind on fire
Swirling like smoke
Snap a nap then awoke…
I want to find a way in
To oblivion.
When I was young we used to see
Children’s programmes on tv
Chigley, Trumpton, Camberwick Green
Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb were seen.
Then came the Herbs and a dog called Dill.
Parsley the Lion, I remember him still….
The theme music that we would sing
The Clangers, and Magpie, fun they’d bring
Puppet shows galore there were on TV
Like Stingray and Thunderbirds you’d see.
With Bill and Ben
Wild flowerpot men!
So much to remember from years ago
When I was a child…Memory fast not slow!
