Saw a flower
Dried out and blue.
Made of rock
Solid it grew.
Crystal’s like needles
Splayed out flat
Like a dandelion
A flower, splat!

An up close photo of a plastic water bottle three years ago… I loved the bubbles in it. I don’t buy them very often because they cause pollution and damage the environment.
It might not sound like much, but billions of tons of plastic are getting into out seas, into landfill, being burnt, turning into rubbish that sea creatures eat by mistaking it for jellyfish. Micro plastic is getting into the good chain.
So. I will buy less plastic. Will you?

Green and leafy
But like animal heads?
Something organic
But with no legs!
Stone grown fronds
Like sheep skulls?
Life has many
Strange forms!

Never seen this
In a book!

This one works in a strange way, the steps form odd little triangles, it looks like there is a hole with soil layers, the branches shrink into the distance and the sprinkling of snow adds to the contrast. A slight hint of blue adds to the cold feel.

In the snow. Someone is burning rubbish there and the structure isnt safe enough for that. I took the image off the Internet and added texture because I didn’t want to use someone else’s picture but they look amazing in the snow. The caravan at the side may be where the man looking after the site is living.

What sees us under the deep blue sky? Alien faces with glimmering eyes. If they open wide a nova will scorch the ground. Smoke rising and polluting the air.
Photo of a tree, mirrored in layout app and then details added of a face using a symmetry tool.

Washed with Amber and lilac, gold highlights. Twigs sweeping the sky. Painting it with their fronds. Clouds form flocks of flying sheep, running home as night arrives. A symphony of colours shifting as they are viewed. Blue darkens to black, the colour I’d drained out of the sky until one solitary glimmer remains. Then the light of stars spring out. Tiny pinpricks in the firmament. Moon rise. The glow of it shines through a lowering fog. Time for bed and dreams.

Morning, and I see the sky reflected in my washing up bowl. Two bowls gleam in the sunlight, and Christmas cacti stream downwards towards the bowl. Their flowers are still in bud, some have already flowered. You see how things are not as light as we imagine them. More mid tones than bright ones, only real highlights are on the bowls. Indoor plants help me stay happy….
