Looking out
What kind of eye
Looks out with a metallic glint?
Surface shining and gleaming
Like curved glass.
Robotic thoughts
Crash with emotion
Cogs meshed and unmeshed.
Indefinite or infinite ideas
Spiralling down into black depths.
Oily liquid lubricates
Diamond glimmers
Do you need love?
How do you reflect in that eye?
Kissing cat
Nudged
Head butted
By a cat
Soft cheeks
Half closed eyes.
That stare under lids
At you.
Rapt
With love
Purring
‘bring me food’
He seems to say….
Roses
Metallic paint on black paper
Pale roses with red edges
Starting to fade
And fall
Soon your petals will drop
The vase emptied
Water poured away
Paint can fade too
Lost in a sketchbook
Somewhere in my mind.
Mask
Wear a mask they said
Blue is good, they said
I chose this one
With a sea theme on…
But cover your mouth
For when you breathe out
Don’t breathe the germs
That the air returns.
So I scrapped this mask
Got a blue one for the task
Made of papier-
Mache!
Purple
Shall I colour my hair purple?
Shall I cover the grey?
Replace the silver with a violet hue,
Like old ladies
Have their hair coloured blue?
Doodle an idea,
Just to see
But the drawing
Looks nothing like me!

In a crazed,
cracked bowl
Sits an Apple
Green and crunchy
Ready to eat
Crisp skin
Flecked with gold.
Sharp tasting
But sweet
Glistening
Delicate
Tiny, white.
Hint of pink
Shades of green
Soft yellows
Dots of paprika orange
On a denim background.
Green stems
Hold them together
Like a couple holding hands….
Pink blossom
Like Candyfloss
Bursting from branches
Pink and effervescent.
What are you doing to me wordpress?
