So sad to see the decay
Weeds and rubble on display
Once hard working
Now rats lurking
Crumbling brickwork
At the old works
Let it survive
Keep pottery alive
This is our history
Part of life’s mystery
New paintings and regular art updates.

So sad to see the decay
Weeds and rubble on display
Once hard working
Now rats lurking
Crumbling brickwork
At the old works
Let it survive
Keep pottery alive
This is our history
Part of life’s mystery

Asleep
Paws out
Claws at the ready
Ready to pounce
If I even dare
To touch
The
Remote
Control!

Too many flowers
Growing out and round
Hanging baskets
Decked out and grand.
Pots filled with lots
Of colours and shapes
Joy to my heart
These flower baskets make.
A real riot of colour
Blooming in my heart
And the heart
Of the city.

I must go down to the sea again
Says the old poem.
And I know why
Beauty and violence
Gentle lapping wavelets
And white horses.
Frantic families
Lost sailors
Storms and waves
So high they reach up, up
To the sky.
Birds skim the surface
Grab fish in their beaks
Puffins and Skewers
Cormorants and Choughs
Ever changing
Sometimes boring
I must go there again.

I don’t need retouching
Thanks.
Or soft focus
Blending
Trimming down.
I am me
I wear my own mask

A fairy seems to hover
Over the lake
Wings flutter
Like a humming bird
A cupped hand
Reaches out
A small pool
in her palm
Takes a sip
Watches
the water
Drip

Still and quiet
The waterlilies opening
Swirls from fish
Lazily catching flies
Circles on the surface
Reflections rippled then still
How deep are you?
Walking to the edge
Then dip a toe in
Feel the cool liquid
Gently caress.

It didn’t rain
It didn’t pour,
Even though we sang.
The flags flew
The banners flapped
In the breeze.
The bubble man
Blew huge bubbles
That the children popped.
And the snail man?
He walked very
Very
Very
Slowly…..

Wrong side of the hill, but still saw some lovely reflections on the cloud base. Red sky at night predicting a lovely day tomorrow? We will see….
Red sky to dark sky
Sun sets slowly
Dark sky to black sky
Moon rises brightly
Grey Dawn to blue sky
Sun rises gently.
Chasing, racing, riding fast
Le Tour enthrals
France in three weeks
A journey of courage

Tail wind, head wind
Peloton group
Cycling up alps
Down valleys
Rain or snow
Burnt by the sun
Super human effort
Yellow Jersey holder
Speed and elation
And the winner is?!
