Beautiful
Lilac purple
Pattern plays
On my mind.
No one knows
How lovely
You are.
Growing quietly
in my garden
Bestowing lovely
Unfolding petals
In my heart.
My soul.

Take a photo of your face or someone else’s. Then cut down the middle and mirror both sides. If the person has a lopsided face the difference is obvious. Turning the images into two different faces. Apologies to my hubby for experimenting with his features!
Edgar Alan Poe had very lopsided features. Have a look on the Internet. X

Received from space? Old photo mirrored. The original photo was about a stormy sky but the effect of mirroring this has bought the attention to the (seemingly) floating TV Ariel.
What is it for? Is it an alien Ariel? A communication from beyond the stratosphere? An energy collector or scrambler of radio waves? Something from a Sci-fi movie. Could it tune in to the high pitched sounds of bats? Imagination can take you anywhere!

Two views, lined up and joined. Different depths of field. Blurred and sharp. The images were taken on the same day, about half a mile apart. I like the way the far bank of the lake seems to join up. I acheived this by stretching the images so they could work together. I haven’t worked on the colours or sharpness, they are not manipulated except for scale.

By duplicating and flipping one side of the couple of photos I ended up with an interesting structure (in reality next doors small extension bathroom). The hanging baskets and pots pop with green and bright flowers. As they grow and bloom I will post more pictures (and include more if the rain stops!). Summer is here so they should take up more space. Gardening and rain, a typical British summer.

It started as another feather post, then someone pointed out it looks like mice. (maybe eating a slice of banana?) I used a straightening tool to make the feather twist round and the layout to mirror it. I’m not sure how many more feather photos I can do before I get bored by the idea…. Or not!
I’ve also noticed that the feathers could look like wings beating up and down. You can see how the photos can be changed by using filters in Instagram.

I found a black and white feather, possibly from a magpie and decided to make a pattern with it. I turned it slightly in the ‘straighten’ tool I have, then mirrored it and duplicated it. It tickles my brain playing with feathers! I’d turn the feather into a quill pen if I could.

Look forward
Look back?
Where did my nine lives go?
An expanse of time
Melted into history.
Only this life left.
Hold tight.
Don’t let it go.
Wide eyed
Staring into the distance.
Unsure of what to be.

This is a sketcher free drawing that I did a couple of years ago. I mirrored it in my layout app. I wish I could remember how I did it. But when you don’t practice using things for a while you forget. The ap is on my tablet, but I don’t use it very often at the moment. I need to get my act together…

Playing with a photo of fruit. Somehow a face appeared. Pareidolia again! I can’t help myself, I see faces everywhere. Must be the way my brain is wired!
A cornucopia of satsumas and apples with an added banana. Tasty. Silly, fun.
