Pink green and white
Garden delight
Found on our walk
Flowers on their stalk
Intermingled pink and green
And white, glowing, clean
Really bad poem?
Better get going!
New paintings and regular art updates.

You spread your arms
And reach out
Touching other trees.
Bark and moss
Cracks and splits
But you stand strong
Encompassing the land
Shading the ground
Leaf and branch.
Happy nature.

A joy of Coots
Baby chicks
Cheeping and calling
Rushing across a pool
Blue footed parents
White shield on their heads
Dark chicks
Scattered yellow feathers
Round their heads
And red beaks.
How do they morph
From chick to Coot?

Splash your colour everywhere
Brighten the world
Pink and red and yellow
Purple and orange too.
Spring is here
The world is green
But tulips
Give the world joy.

Cat gymnastics
Wash that face
Wash that leg.
Rough tongued
Smooths fur.
On and on
Till spic and span
Dusty whiskers
Long gone.
A paw here
A claw there
Cat cleaned
To perfection
Within a whisker.

What are they?
Pink petals
Soft
Finely scented
Given with love and devotion
Showing they care
Perfect flowers
Blushing with beauty
For love and lovers.

Avocado?
No…
Aubergine
No
Aardvark?
Maybe
Alpha Centauri
Er…
August
Not yet…
Aniseptics
Not quite..
Autumn
Now that’s silly!
Argonaut
Yeah right
What then
Apple!

What kind of eye
Looks out with a metallic glint?
Surface shining and gleaming
Like curved glass.
Robotic thoughts
Crash with emotion
Cogs meshed and unmeshed.
Indefinite or infinite ideas
Spiralling down into black depths.
Oily liquid lubricates
Diamond glimmers
Do you need love?
How do you reflect in that eye?

Nudged
Head butted
By a cat
Soft cheeks
Half closed eyes.
That stare under lids
At you.
Rapt
With love
Purring
‘bring me food’
He seems to say….

Metallic paint on black paper
Pale roses with red edges
Starting to fade
And fall
Soon your petals will drop
The vase emptied
Water poured away
Paint can fade too
Lost in a sketchbook
Somewhere in my mind.
