Missing photos

I just checked my memory percentage on WordPress media and it was up to 96.4% well into the red! I am always up there recently because I like posting my own art here. It means that something has to happen so I have been deleting a few photos. I’m down to 96%. Please accept my apologies if there isn’t a picture on one of my older posts… I have to reduce them. I’m also possibly going to post smaller images xxx

How does this work?

I found this upstairs earlier so I put some batteries in and then watched the sparks flitting round the inside of the sphere. Hubby says it must have a partial vacuum inside it and the colour is possibly caused by Argon?

Does anyone know how it works….

Anyway it made for some interesting photos. But really I’d like to know if it proves any physics theories?

Flowers at Dorothy Clive Garden today

So many flowers in one place, the Quarry garden at the Dorothy Clive Garden was particularly beautiful. There is a waterfall feature there and the sight of it amongst the Azaleas and Rhodedendrons was lovely. The water cooled the air and the colours in the sunlight were like jewels.

I took far too many photos, I will share more later. There is a laburnum walk which I will post about seperatley.

Canada geese and goslings

Paddling in a puddle for a drink

Walking with geese

Seeing their goslings,

Round Westport lake

And various puddles.

Soft and fluffy

Yellow and brown.

Fuzzy and pretty

Not like their parents.

When do they transform?

When they grow full feathers

Then full plumage appears

Smart black necks

Brown and white patches.

Growing up quickly

Proud parents delight.

Short walk with bluebells…

Finally had a short walk today! We went to Cherished Chimneys which is a shop that sells chimneys and pottery at Longport, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. and the Waiting Room gallery across the road in the same place. Then we walked round Westport lake, which is just half a mile away along the canal. We saw blossom and bluebells along the canal and round the lake. We avoided heavy clouds as we walked. I think it had rained heavily in Stoke as the path was soaking wet when we got home.

Two more miles

After walking five miles this afternoon my hubby suggested we took a short walk this evening as it was still warm and the sun was bright even though it was going down. We walked past an old school with wavy railings. It is in the process of being knocked down. Then as my hubby walked away from me I stopped and caught a shot of him striding into the sunset (by then my feet were hurting). But that was another two miles so I did just over seven in total. Its the furthest I have walked for a couple of months. I must do more!
