Golden bike
In a cafe in Burslem a couple of years ago. I was surprised to see a bike hanging on the wall, spray painted gold. A nice decoration? Possibly. Hopefully it’s well attached to the wall. I guess it’s OK to do this. I’ve seen cart wheels and farm implements as decorations before so, yeah, why not?

Trifle and curling, a quiet afternoon
Have you ever seen curling? Curling 🥌 is a game on ice where two teams take it in turn to slide curling stones on an icy surface along to a target 🎯 area. The closest to the centre (button) wins its a game of strategy. Curling stones can be set to guard the target, preventing the other team from getting close to the centre. Curling stones can be sent gently down the ice, or hard, to knock the other teams stones out of the target area. Each team gets the ‘hammer’ in turn, which means going last in the end. An advantage as you may get a stone in the best position on the last curl of the end. There are different games using slightly different rules. I was watching the UK against Sweden at the Olympics today. And that’s where the trifle comes in. I had dome of it for lunch. Then noticed the bade of the dish has circles in it a bit like a curling target! Just a nice gentle lunch and bit of telly watching. X

Two cats?
No, just playing with mirror images again. But she is cute. And two heads are better than one? She was lying in the sunshine on our bed, happy and purring. I tilted the camera to fit her in the photo, which is why her head is at an odd angle. She is small and beautiful. She has gorgeous green eyes, she loves being stroked and purrs loudly. She makes me happy! Sweet cat x
Bestiary
Eerie multiple photo. If I was describing it to someone I would say it looks almost human, but it could be some strange concoction of a scent hunter. The noses look weird because they are wider than normal, and the eyes are tiny and embedded into the facial flesh. It could almost be part of a bestiary. I have found a few images in them that are quite amazing and also bizarre, but I think this could almost fit in with the criteria of one of them. X
Trees
Multiple image, one tree duplicated. Winter image, steely blue sky. The whiter areas could be teeth, the trees gums? The indentations from the chimneys are also tooth like. The trees could be capillaries or veins. Cold and icy. Lots of thoughts.
Sharpener
On my desk, it needs emptying. But I leave it. The colours from the shafts of the pencil (which I have hidden by turning it to black and white) remind me of the colour of the image I have drawn. The pencil sharpenings share its history. It is my memory encapsulated.
Monsters?
I look up and see two monsters looming over me. They are staring at each other. Air swirls round them. Crystallising ice makes frost sheets over everything. ALIENS!
Created this photo from four mirrored images of sky, cloud, bushes and houses. Then added texture in Photodirector. The images look like huge baby chicks but with added claws waiting to grab you. Ready to pounce and fight with each other. I was interested in the colours of the sky. It gives a feeling that the air is chilled to a minus number.
