A sea of bluebells
Rippling in the wind
Surrounding an old Court
Like a moat.
Heads nodding on one side
Slim leaves
Shiny and dark green.
The Spring tide comes in
Then fades again.
Year on year
The tides of time
Turn.

One of our cats and a painting my hubby did of another cat thirty or forty years ago. He has his own unique style, I wish he would do more of them. We both love our cats so it’s nice to be able to share a picture that hubby has created.
Think the cat was comfy on our bed. He goes up there and curls up where it is warm and quiet. I don’t blame him!

The wind blows
Catkins shiver
On the boughs
Blackbirds sing
Here is spring?
But we need rain
Not late March winds!
April showers
Would water the flowers
But their roots
Stay dry
Meanwhile
Sun shines.

Squint and see faces, patterns, monsters. Tipped over doubled image. The colours help make it vibrant and interesting. Plant life can be amazing.

Rip a bit of paper up, mirror it a few times. See what happens. That’s it. Just a combination of colours and contrasting shadows that appear to make the bits float above a purple speckled cushion. Switch the bits around and it makes an interesting pattern.

Watching my friends dance along to the Boat band. There were lots more people there but they were all behind me! I think they were dancing to a polka. Lovely surroundings and a great place to visit. Now I know where it is (down a little lane off the A51 near Rugeley in Staffordshire) I think we will go back. Even if its only to watch people dancing. It’s also close to the river and the Worsley garden centre and Nature reserve, a pub by the river and an antiques centre, so there is lots to see if you want to visit them. x

Chasing, running
Playing, jumping
Pouncing, leaping
Happy, racing
Running fast
Speedy paws
Get that toy!
Pounce on the mouse!
So much catnip!
Cheeky face!

Can you see him? A face, arms, body, and legs. Funny what you can see in a few twigs and a lump of moss. Try using a mirror to see what reflections can make from an image. Then use a smartphone app to duplicate and twist your chosen image. Finally adjust the colours and bring out the details if you can. And voila a grumpy demon.

Building reflected in my car window. It looked funny as I have a hat in the back of the car and the building looks like it has a hat on too. I hope you can see it?

Imagine the sky actually looking like this. What could cause it? A giant bubble of soap with the liquid moving around on the surface like bubbles do. Or strange cloud formations made of gossamer from giant spiders? Maybe it’s just dust and dirt and grease smeared on a camera lens. Imagination is fun. Exploring ideas of how things work is fun too.
