old digital work

a long time ago (2019) , I was playing with photoshop and came up with a series of images. I would start with one digital drawing, put it through a filter or two until I was happy with the result, save it and then filter it again. I have several series of jpegs where I have changed the images incrementally, up to 9 or 10 times. Its a way of learning how you can alter or edit an image without loosing the sequence. I dont tend to do it anymore unless someone wants to see how Ive worked something out. I do have too many images, but I do like to look back at them occassionally, it helps me understand how I got here.

picnic time

Nothing nicer when you are travelling to stop off for a break. In this case we were on our way down to Falmouth and stopped off at Tewkesbury Abbey. My friend who runs Ivans_uk_tours.com provided a picnic hamper full of goodies. I want to go on another trip like this. Its great not to have the responsibility of a long drive and to have an itinerary sorted out by us but undertaken by someone else. I kept saying it was like having a butler!

Above

What is Above? Is it only sky? I have a prompt to draw for and I’m trying to think what to do. I can start with tree branches or tall buildings towering over me. They reach up above me. Basically as I’m short anything above 5ft 6 inches is above me, so that includes kitchen cupboards! Upstairs? That too….

Then the blue sky and clouds are above us. The clouds could be white and fluffy or dark and threatening rain…but mountains can also tower above us. Even hills. The Blackpool tower?

Follow that with planes, satellites, space stations….

Asteroids, meteors, comets, planets, the moon, the sun, stars, the Oort cloud, cosmic rays, the milky way, galaxies, the universe.

I’m starting to feel rather small….

Feed me!

Teasle

I posted this photo on Facebook last week and someone wrote ‘Feed me Seymour!’

I guess it does look a bit like the plant in the film ‘Little Shop of Horrors’! It’s strange how life imitates art, or vice versa. Photo of teasel, taken outside the forge at Etruria Industrial Museum on the Trent and Mersey canal in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.

Bird limerick

Bird on a post it note

On paper it seems to float.

Bright yellow and white

What a pretty sight..

Drawn for fun, gets my vote!

You can probably tell, I haven’t been very active today. Bit ill, not feeling well. I found this bird collage on an old sketchbook from 2021. I decided to share it with a little limerick. I had lots to do but haven’t been out. My hubby did some shopping and I’m laying low. If I feel better later I will blog again.
