The last few days were horrible.
A stomach bug got me.
Hurt me and exhausted me.
I am so glad I’m suddenly feeling better.
Been asleep most of the last two days.
So wish me luck
Send me hope
To recover fully,
Soon.

I have so many cat ornaments dotted round the house. Some were gifts others I bought for myself. This is not a good photo of this white cat, but I like the way it’s legs are stretched out like a lion, or a sphinx. If I decided to get rid of some of my cats this is definitely one I would keep.

Somewhere in the world a young woman looks at the Earth and sees what? The fact that over the decades women have risen to the heights of politics. Prime ministers and Presidents. Some have done better than others. It does after all depend on what their politics are and what the team ability to govern is like.
That young woman may not be interested in politics, it may be boring, it may be too dominated by men. But she should have a chance to learn and decide if she wants to get involved
Unfortunately there is a lot of mysogenistic behaviour in the world. I hope if she wants to, she can be involved.
What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

Up until recently I think I’ve been a child at heart. I loved to joke, to see the lighter side of life. I liked nothing more than a good comedy, or watching silly videos. Using puns or wordplay to make merry.
But now? A year of world tragedy, personal grief, heath issues has stomped on my head.
I want a time machine, a way of going back, or at least a way of improving my timeliness. Give me a glimmer of hope, lift some of the gloom. Let me get my hands in paint again, spreading colour and love around me. Give me a box of glitter to shake over it. Please. X
You have three magic genie wishes, what are you asking for?
If a genie arises and I can beg
3 indulgences to make life better
I would ask for Peace
As Julian of Norwich wrote
“All shall be well and all shall be well
And all manner of things shall be well. “
Let peace arise and calm the world.
Prosperity?
Let people have sufficient for their need
With less greed.
Finally, the ability to care.
For trees and plants,
For birds and fish
Animals of all kinds
Insect, arachnid, mammal, marsupial.
Care enough to save our little planet.

Describe a family member.

My grandfather was a carpenter. I don’t remember meeting him as I think he died when I was quite young.
He was very skilled and made the lych gate (roofed gateway in front of a church) at the entrance to the local parish church. He also carved the altar rail at the main Methodist Chapel in the town. I imagine he must have been well respected. We also have some wardrobes he made clad in beautiful walnut veneers.
Hearing about him encouraged me to do art. I was told that creativity skips a generation and that I was lucky to have that artistic gene. I also found out I had an artistic cousin that wasn’t allowed to be an artist because her family was short of money, so she ended up working in a factory. I hope she eventually pursued a creative course in life. I feel lucky to have had such an artistic grandfather.

On the easle today, a friend wants a blue and white teapot painting, (acrylic on canvas).
It’s taken me months to start painting this. I have to have a steady hand. The difficult bit will be trying to paint floral patterns on it and get the lighting correct. Wish me luck.
How much would you pay to go to the moon?

Simply put I won’t go!
I don’t fly
Up in the sky
I get vertigo
So I’ll stay on my feet
Keep my carbon footprint down
Let some millionaire clown
Spend dollars for fun
Hopefully not crashing
Into the Sun!

Apparently our local church was designed by a famous architect? I may be wrong but I think it was Pugin?
He was renowned for designing the houses of Parliament in London.
Here is some information from Wikipedia because I don’t want to plagerise and reiterate it, it’s too complex.
Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin[a] (/ˈpjuːdʒɪn/ PEW-jin; 1 March 1812 – 14 September 1852) was an English architect, designer, artist and critic with French and Swiss origins. He is principally remembered for his pioneering role in the Gothic Revival style of architecture. His work culminated in designing the interior of the Palace of Westminster in Westminster, London, and its renowned clock tower, the Elizabeth Tower (formerly St. Stephen’s Tower), which houses the bell known as Big Ben. Pugin designed many churches in England, and some in Ireland and Australia.[2] He was the son of Auguste Pugin, and the father of Edward Welby Pugin, Cuthbert Welby Pugin, and Peter Paul Pugin, who continued his architectural and interior design firm as Pugin & Pugin.[3]
