I like it, I like the Romaesco version I think it’s called. The version with sculptural spiral swirls that are like a version of fibonnacci number patterns. The spirals have a fractal look about them. If you’ve never seen it look it up online. It’s a fascinating shape.

Pomegranate

Todays #bandofsketchers prompt was sweet so I drew this pomegranate before hubby ate it. I only had about twenty minutes to half an hour as I was going out for a walk straight afterwards. Trying to represent the seeds was hard. I had thought of cutting it into quarters but halved was easier and I managed to get a nice curved feel to the outside of it. And it was sweet.

Black fineliner and permanent markers.

Fushias

Fushias in the garden, like little ballerinas, skirts whirling, pale pink over dark pink petals. Stamens hanging down, like little legs pirouetting in a dance on thin air…

The colours thrill. Pinks, browns greens and purples. The background blurs into fluid texture, waiting for your quiet death as cool ice freezes you in withered majesty.
