Put your paw out, say hello….

Come and get warm
Please don’t go
Cats are friendly
When you know
How to love them
Snuggling so.
New paintings and regular art updates.
Put your paw out, say hello….

Come and get warm
Please don’t go
Cats are friendly
When you know
How to love them
Snuggling so.

Outdoor cat update
He sleeps on the bed
I get up to let him out
I get up to let him in
I have to move my legs
To give him room
I get up to feed him
I love him
How did that happen?!

She balances on the sink
Waiting for a love
Looking beautiful
What a face
How can I resist?
But she’s ready to pounce
Her brother is on the floor
Clash of the cats
Tripping me up!

So many moons
In the solar system.
Io, Callisto
Titan, Deimos.
Flying round planets
And orbiting them.
Saturn has many
Does Jupiter have more?
So many it could raise
An army of them to war?
Holsts the planet suite
Musical encore
Perhaps there should be
A moon musical score?

There is a prompt set by Esther Chilton to write a limerick using a particular word. This week it was Mop, which was good because I’d just drawn Mow Cop at Five am this morning.
Mow Cop is a folly of a castle near Kidsgrove, Staffordshire, and stands above the Cheshire plain with views of Jodrell Bank Observatory and beyond.

Down the hill
Round the bend
Over the valley
Where will it end?
Up and down
Across the land
Never ending?
Or lost in time.
This road has a start
But where does it go.
Ever on
Until tomorrow!

Blurred face
Added lashes
Tidied brows
You still are old
Your blue contact lenses
Shine brightly
But the greying lens
Of age
Cannot be beaten…

Snowdrops and Crocuses
Then Daffodils and Iris
Helibores and Hyacinth
Grape Hyacinths too…
Slowly the Tulips
Spread their petals
While perennials lift
Their sleepy heads
From the soil.
As rain falls
And air warms
The Magnolia
Opens its petals
And Cherry blossom
Blooms…

Cats paws
Muddy feet
Climb up high
Then go to sleep!
Cheeky face
Whiskers, ears
Looking down
Gives me cheers.
Tidy cat
Fun and bounce
If not happy
Prone to flounce!

A bite out of the sun..
Sunlight dims
But the star is still bright.
Too bright to look at,
So don’t stare,
Keep your eyes
On the car window
On that puddle,
In the shadows
On the wall..
The sun might dim
And dim
Till its eclipsed.
Annular or full
Will it return
Or be gone
For good?
Blinded by the moon,
