Despite the radiators being on its really cold in my house today. I’ve also got a heater on. Two jumpers on top of a tee shirt and a scarf. I looked at the inside temperature and it’s 14.3°C (Celcius). That’s cold.
I have been out so I kept the heating off till I came in, so it’s going to take time to warm up.. I might get my dressing gown on later, it’s almost cold enough to see my breath. I think the weather is due to get warmer next week but I heard we are going to have another named storm on Sunday and Monday. What fun!
Tongue out ready to lick, mucky chin, don’t know where he’s been. He came in after being out. It’s been raining and there’s mud about! Watchful eyes see what’s happening, he knows he’s loved, though he’s bought a smattering of rain and seeds in on his fur. So time to wash so he’s clean and dapper.
What’s in a cats mind? Waiting for something, but what? No sounds outside, no rustling leaves, but he waits. His sister or brother outside. Is it them he’s sitting, waiting for.
The cat likes to be patient, it’s in his nature, will he see a spider cross the floor? I wrote this, then looked up. A click or clack and he’s out the cat flap, to explore.
Night sits over the house. Will he see a mouse? Will he wait and stare some more, or pounce? No presents please. I don’t need the hassle. You sit and stare, at peace.
Outdoor cat update
He sleeps on the bed
I get up to let him out
I get up to let him in
I have to move my legs
To give him room
I get up to feed him
I love him
How did that happen?!
Progress! The abandoned cat got up courage and came inside the backdoor this afternoon to have something to eat. He’s gradually getting confident enough to trust us. My boy cat went out again this morning, not far, he’s very nervous of strange noises that make him jump. It’s a balance but I hope all three (including our girl cat) can integrate together.
