Our boy cat likes to sleep anywhere enclosed, like boxes or behind curtains, when he got in the old washing basket where we keep shopping bags, that was OK… That was in the quiet of the bathroom. But hubby wants a shower so he’s bought the cat and the basket into the living room so the cat doesn’t get wet! He was fast asleep so had one huge yawn, not he’s curled up and gone back to sleep! (the cat not hubby!)
Tasty apple for lunch. There is also a saying, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. But why an apple in Eden? The Bible was written in the countries like Judaea which were roman provinces. The tree of life did not have a specific fruit. It didn’t say what it was in the bible. The fruit didn’t get named until later. So Apples are not evil (never thought they were). Of course you then have stories like Snow white who bit a poisoned apple and could only be revived by the kiss of a Prince. But that wasn’t the apples fault! Anyway there are lots of varieties of apples, this one was a Royal gala which was very tasty.

Turn a photo into an abstract by mirroring it in the Layout app run through Instagram and Facebook. If you take a photo that is a bit lopsided then when you multiply the image you get interesting patterns. You can rotate the pictures so you can get a variety of different patterns.
Experiment and see what suits you. If you see odd patterns that can be interesting. Branches enclosing a flower. In this case mirrored handles on the pot makes for an unusual ceramic object when all it is, is a jug. Ariel roots and leaves from my orchid plants frame the resulting pattern.
For some reason this little tableau of ornaments reminds me of a zombie movie, or an old episode of Buffy the Vampire slayer. Just random shocked people, a little devil, an owl a Thai figure and a bowl made of buttons. It’s strange what can attract your eye. It’s the colours in it that make it interesting too.
Colour is my friend,
It holds my hand
Shines from my eyes
Visits my dreams.
Colours tickle my taste buds,
Get up my nose,
Flirts with my senses.
Colours touch my heart,
Play with my mind,
Cures my blues.
Colours are in me
Around me
Through me.
Are me!
Eye look into my eyes and eye think why are you there? Eye don’t know if eye understand this post but eye do know eye say eye a lot! Eym might try and stop, or maybe eye won’t?

It’s weird how things can look if they are duplicated. You suddenly realise you are looking at some new creation. Some pattern that shouldn’t be there. It’s fun, it’s peculiar, it’s what I like to do.

By a waterfall, in the countryside, with friends. A little picnic, some cheese sandwiches, a flask of tea? An apple or a banana. Sunshine, a scent of flowers on the breeze. Driving a few miles further than I have for the last few months. Out of the city. Where my feet can touch grass. Where my eyes can be dazzled with colour and the clouds are as white washed cotton. I want time to go back. Before pandemics and Covid, before corruption and death..
Is it too much to ask?
Pink lily, pink glass with grey shadow, lowering grey cloud. Just three things that I noticed today. Pink and Grey really do work well together. I’d say never be afraid to allow colours to clash. Enjoy what you do.
