In bed, if I lie on my back the outdoor cat now walks onto my chest and lies down. Paws on my hand, he will lie his chin down on my hand too as he goes to sleep. The only trouble is I can’t stay in that position all night, so eventually he lies at the bottom of the bed. He often wants to go back outside after two or three hours, but gradually the time inside is extending and outside getting shorter. And he’s put on weight and my two indoor cats have accepted him.

Digital crocosmia
I like playing with images and these are two versions of a digital drawing using different options in photodirector.

This was my basic sketch in ArtRage oils which I drew over with Sketch app.
It might not be very good but it shows what you could do to make it more interesting….

I’m watching Gardeners World on BBC TV. They arr showing a compilation programme of the best bits from 2020. One section was about the crocosmia plants that you grow in the garden and the fact that their anticedants came from South Africa.
My garden has crocosmia Lucifer growing in it in the late summer, but its several years old now and I think it’s time to get new bulbs so I’ve painted this to remind myself to get some more..

An up close photo of a plastic water bottle three years ago… I loved the bubbles in it. I don’t buy them very often because they cause pollution and damage the environment.
It might not sound like much, but billions of tons of plastic are getting into out seas, into landfill, being burnt, turning into rubbish that sea creatures eat by mistaking it for jellyfish. Micro plastic is getting into the good chain.
So. I will buy less plastic. Will you?

Something new, Christmas present, a diamond chip ring (the diamond bits are tiny, but I love it) off my hubby. #30daysketchbookchallenge. Pens, metallic paint and pencils. Hard to see detail as it’s so small!

Clouds and rooves by the sea.
Quick sketches can be useful to remind you of a view. You can think about weather and how rain falls from the clouds over the sea. The jumble of buildings with slanting rooves, hunkered down for an impending storm.
Sketching fast gives you the chance to record something that may be fast moving, capture motion, in fleeting minutes the whole thing has changed!

Green and leafy
But like animal heads?
Something organic
But with no legs!
Stone grown fronds
Like sheep skulls?
Life has many
Strange forms!

Change the look.
Never seen this
In a book!

This one works in a strange way, the steps form odd little triangles, it looks like there is a hole with soil layers, the branches shrink into the distance and the sprinkling of snow adds to the contrast. A slight hint of blue adds to the cold feel.
