I’ve wanted to alter this painting for a long time. I had a grey blurred background before but it just merged in to much with the Barn Owl. Now it stands out against the night sky. I also added many tiny stars. I could have flicked splashes of paint but I wanted more control over where they went.
Hubby was playing with a model aeroplane yesterday. The trouble was the shutter on my camera reacted a few seconds after I pressed it, so the plane was not in the picture. I had a silly idea. I would superimpose a model plane on the photo. Problem, I don’t have that sort of software on my phone. So I drew a plane instead. Its badly drawn and I had to erase bits of it to get the general shape. But you get the idea of what was happening in reality.

As the autumn approaches the northern hemisphere the weather gets colder. Local bird populations are looking for food. Some of them need to stock up so they can migrate others so they can overwinter in the UK.
You can get bird foods from local shops and pet stores. Grain, peanuts, sunflower seeds, fat balls, together with a fresh supply of water is what they need. If you feed them bread make sure it has been soaked in water, otherwise it can swell up in their crops and cause harm to them.

Doodling a dragon 🐲 but I really don’t know their morphology. I know ones I draw tend to look horselike , with scale skin and wide wings and a long pointed tail. But would they fly? They would need a large breast bone to attach massive muscles to. They would probably need hollow bones to make them light enough to get airborne. Would they have front legs and wings too? Birds have modified front limbs that have evolved into wings, perhaps dragons would be the same.
In any case they are creatures of magic in mythology. Perhaps one day they could be genetically created, and appear like the Fire Lizards in Anne MacCafferys Dragon series of books – pets like small cats…

Floating along, calm.
As I pressed the shutter on my phone this pigeon was sitting sweetly on the TV Ariel, but it took a short while for the shutter to click, so it was in mid flight by the time I had snapped it. At least I caught the downward beat of its wings. Tail splayed to give it lift. Where it fluttered from its erch I don’t know. I was just checking my phone screen to see what I’d managed to capture. Photo taken at Etruria, Stoke-on-Trent, today. Mostly blue skies and not too cold.
