Almost a year
Time has moved on
From when I heard
That you were gone
The Earth around the Sun
That shone
Has turned full circle
And flown on
Around the galaxy
So that now
We cannot ever
Return anon.
Still raw my thoughts
Reach back in time.
I miss you so
Hence this Bad rhyme
I hope that if you were to glance
At this mad poem
You’d laugh and prance
And tell me ‘chill!’
Take no heed
We must survive
Old life’s sad dance!

Tea, what’s in the fridge? Vegetable quiche, tomatoes, gherkin, silver skin pickled onion, yellow pepper, light mayonnaise and….. Left over black cherries. Finger painting using the Sketchbook app on my phone.

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was one I chose, equator. Why? I don’t know. Digital drawing of an Earth like planet with a red equatorial line drawn on it. In my imagination this is a planet encircling city. The only place warm enough for the alien life is the hottest part of the planet on its equator. Used Artrage app to draw this.

Thursdays #bandofsketchers prompt was minimum. I just saw this and was a bit flummoxed! Anyway I decided to draw a part of a flower with minimum colours, just choosing a small part of it, digital finger painting in Artrage.

I was trying to draw the planet Saturn, which is at opposition at the moment (on the far side of the sun so fully illuminated). But I couldn’t get the right shape or colour so I went a bit abstract. Using Artrage and photodirector I put the initial sketch through lots of filters and ended up with this colourful picture.

I do like a good tessellation, I’ve turned my two versions of sunflowers into tiles to see what it would look like in a tile pattern. I used incollage app to do this. I think it looks OK but I wouldn’t want a whole wall decorated with it, a bit too over the top! I might try this again but rotate the tiles so they fit in with each other.

Flower or Sun?
Sunflower fun
Digitally drawn
Edited with love
Playing with colour
To make it less bright
Always experiment
Like a digital atom
Exploring it’s orbit
A phantasm of heat.

Surrounded by wavy lines I drew a green pearly ball. Just experimenting with layers in Artrage and smoothed out with photodirector. Too hot to do much at the moment.
Are you holding a grudge? About?

I don’t hold a grudge, it’s too painful, and it makes no sense. If you hold a grudge who are you harming? Yourself. Painful thoughts about someone else don’t harm them, they don’t know about it, but the worm of a grudge bores inside you and makes poison in your thoughts and harms your moods.
Oh I have held grudges before now, and for a long time, but I have it up as a bad idea. Don’t hold grudges, it’s not worth it.
