Odd bedfellows

One broke

Cat jelly mould, dinosaur night lite. The dinosaur dropped on the floor and split. Unfortunately it had to go because I couldn’t glue it back together.

I’ve used the jelly mould to make a few jellies, but it was hard to use because it doesn’t like to stay upside down without propping up. It hangs on the side of the fridge now.

I just think it made an interesting photo. And although they are strange bedfellows they are both plastic and animal shaped. So I guess they go together.

Looking through a window in a door at Spode out of the studio window. The layers of lines and squares superimposed on top of each other made it interesting. The wood frames each section neatly.

What you can’t see is the bright sunlight catching the building in the background. I could see it, but here it’s over exposed and looks almost white, merging into the line of sky above it. Eyes are so important, cameras are wonderful, but seeing in reality is a better experience sometimes.

Have you seen the little camera sign on your phone? I’ve only just found out about it. It’s on the top right of the Google search bar. I guess there are similar tools on other   search engines and I am not advocating you use any of them. It is good to use something to identify things like plants. I saw this growing out of a wall today and I wanted to know what it was as I have different ferns growing out of my yard wall. I’m glad to extend my knowledge.

Sunset 19 June 2024

Looking out over a supermarket car park.

The sky had clouded over, but there was a glow from the setting sun behind the grey clouds. It just shows that a minimal landscape can be enhanced by light and colour. There is blue and grey, orange and yellow, purples and blacks all intermingling and changing by the minute.

For once it wasn’t raining, it wasn’t cold, and it wasn’t windy. You could stand and watch the atmosphere evolve as the sun set. It’s not a very exciting sunset, but I enjoyed it.
