Tea?

One of my old digital drawings I did a few years ago on a website called sketchfu that has sadly closed. Each week we were set a challenge to draw from a photo. I got quite good at it even though there were only a few tools on the site. I’d like to know what pottery the set was made at. I think it looks quite neat.

Flowers

Trying to catch up… A quick sketch of a sunflower in Artrage app.  #bandofsketchers prompt flowers…

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a band of sketchers prompt. I’ve decided to resume so I at least post a bit of art here. I’ve been feeling down for too long. I don’t know if this will help, but I’ve got to try.

Migraine

Had a ‘retinal migraine’ last night, an unnerving experience. I was reading subtitles on TV when they started to go blurry, then the edge of my vision started to sparkle and look jagged, hard to explain, so I’ve tried to draw it. Apparently according to my optician it’s not unusual, I should have covered one eye then the other. If it happens in both it’s an effect in my brain. It cleared up after 20 mins. (if just in one eye, then it may be a problem in one of my eyes).

End of the rainbow

I just read a post on Facebook about a rainbow and it bought back memories from the 1980s.

I was outside on a sunny day when dark clouds piled up as a shower passed by. I noticed a rainbow forming and unbelievably the end came down just up the street from where I was, about fifty yards away. I walked forward and it moved away. I tried jogging, but it kept the same distance away, then gradually faded as the sunlight was blocked by clouds behind me. I really think this is a real memory, not imagined…

Playing with fashion.

Watching the Great British Sewing Bee on TV (a TV show on BBC which pits a number of amateur sewing competetors against each other) I drew these trying to channel fashion, remembering old fashioned sewing patterns you could get in the 1970’s. I doodled a design, but not feeling very well so just messing about. I used Artrage and Photodirector to create the patterns.

A few old sketches

Drawings from a few years ago at the Dorothy Clive garden that came up on my Facebook memories today. Happier days, when things were not so difficult. Sometimes time should be allowed to go backwards. Even if it’s like the film back to the future. A few hours to tweak the space time continuum. Then I could still be happy. But nil desperandum I need to get on with life. No regrets? I don’t think so.
