You can probably tell, I haven’t been very active today. Bit ill, not feeling well. I found this bird collage on an old sketchbook from 2021. I decided to share it with a little limerick. I had lots to do but haven’t been out. My hubby did some shopping and I’m laying low. If I feel better later I will blog again.

I decided to write something silly…
A pool table on a pool is odd!
But there it floated on its tod
It seemed unattended?
But suddenly, that ended
As the black was potted by a Cod!
Cat climbing the steps
Elegant curves
Held aloft
Proud feline
Made of steel
Forged in coal
Black shadow
Encompassed by sunlight.
Nine lives
Wrought with love
You sang, you flew
Perched and pecked
Hopped in the grass
Stood on the branch
You slept soundly
Woke at dawn
Gave voice to beauty
Slept again.
What befell you?
I do not know
But fall you did
Farewell to you.
Sunset haze in Cornwall
Moon flys above
Silver glow over pink and purple
Fields are green and lush
Tides grow as moon and sun pull
Gravity from one direction
Water bulges
Seas rise and then subside.
Crepuscular light
Before the night.
Dumped
Tyre quoits
Don’t do it!
Dispose of correctly
Care for the world
It doesn’t need our rubbish
Encompassing the world
With our rubber and plastic
Destroying nature
With our excrement.

Teasel looked like something
from the little shop of horrors!
Laughing at us
As it waved in the breeze.
The spikes were sharp.
So who or what
Took a bite from it?
Who knows?
Life against yellow lines
Breaks through tarmac
Takes over in time
Fighting through
Making a way
Green and purple
A clover?
Fixing the world
One root at a time.
Poppies make me smile
They have real style
If I could put them in order
I love white ones with a red border.
I like himalayan blue
I wonder if you do too?
Welsh poppies are yellow
A colour that’s mellow…
Orange from Californian lands
Red sunshine, might grow on sands
But red are my favourite flower
They seem to have a great power.
To me they are iconic
And I’m not being ironic
The colour of Ruby lips
Red blood and rose hips…..
A gin and tonc
With sliced lime
And added cherries
Cheered me up
It was good to sip!
Cold and icy
Nice and spicy
A dash of gin
And loads of tonic
To drown myself in!
