How to be confused

A poet I know has published a long paragraph purporting to be by artificial intelligence. I think he wrote it himself? It is like one of those sentences that you write by using the central choice on your keypad to generate a string of words, but much more complicated. For example :

I think I was a child and I used to be a sunset……

Would be a generated sentence.

I’m not using any AI to write but I decided to say something using the word “cuttlefish” just because I thought of it.

So…… here goes.

“Very old cuttlefish walk across pink dessert avenues. They mean nothing to the public air. Hand wash slowly, using cranium crystals. Bleep out sanding shores. Official decision is required before trash can be planted in allergies.”

I guess you can write anything, but will it be understandable, and if infinite monkeys are not able to write Shakespeare, will AI make it so?

Textured cat

I do like adding texture to photos, in this case I used an app called photodirector. There are lots of options in it, but I tend to use the same tools each time. It has the effect of just ruffling the surface rather than adding some mad AI effects which you have to pay a premium for anyway. This was my lost cat, but he came back!

Happy cat

Cat playing with toy mouse. He pounced on it when he came in from the garden. It’s good to see him happy, belly up. He snuck in past my other boy cat and grabbed it before the other one saw it. He’s throwing it around now.

I usually get the cats catnip toys a couple of times a year. I have a box full of old toys that they still sometimes play with. Cats are funny creatures, they make me laugh when they fling toys about. But I’d rather they play with toys than real animals. X

Mega hexa

Do you play in your daily life? What says “playtime” to you?

I’ve recently found a hexagonal game where you have to match up three or more hexagons to join them together and create a higher value hexagon. You get points when you join them, but you also have to avoid fully blocking the grid you play on or you lose. Most of the time you get dual hexagons with two seperate numbers, but sometimes you get a duplicated number, or a single hexagon. Merging hexagons clear spaces and if you make a big enough number the lowest hexagons are removed from the grid. You can rotate the hexagons to put them in better positions to link them up. My highest score was over 56000.

You can tell from this description that I’ve been playing it a lot lately. It’s mind numbing and distracting me from the outside world. I think its called mega hexa? Avoid if you don’t want to get addicted to it!

Woof

I’m a cat person but I suddenly decided to doodle a dog. I must be starting to feel better after covid. I somehow feel like drawing again.

I’m using the Artrage app and the simple flood fill and spray tools. I’ll try and do something more complex soon. I need to catch up with my #bandofsketchers prompts too.

Playing with filters

I used coloured overlays and an added image of the previous collaged photo on top of this. I like the complexity and that the Christmas tree looks a bit like an insects head.

When I get fed up I like to play with images, creating something new, learning, and keeping myself occupied.

I used the incollage app and photodirector to create this.
