The sun shone eventually…

Looking out of the window this afternoon, the sun came out and the sky cleared. Much more sparkle than my drawing first thing in the morning. Soon the view will clear further when the trees shed the rest of their leaves. Mind you, the rate the ivy is climbing up the wall the window might be covered over!

Tonight is meant to be very cold and the outdoor cat won’t come in, he’s busy running round the garden, but he’s got a warm bed in the shed. Tomorrow it’s due to rain again… No more blue sky….

Flower mobile

Just a photo from my bedroom window including a flower mobile that hangs in it. ( I do like taking photos of random objects.) The cat sometimes reaches up and bat’s at it because of the noise it makes.

The camera was zoomed in so it affected the exposure and left light around the edges of the twigs and branches and the other dark areas on the photo. In this case there was no need to use filters on it as the phone added its own effects.

China cupboard

The ‘stuff’ you collect

The stuff in this ‘cup’board is mainly cups and egg cups. I’m pleased that some of them are ones we have decorated ourselves. Plus I found the Maggie egg cup I was looking for.

It’s amazing what clutter I’ve collected over the years.. I guess I can call it a cup collection…

Falcon Pottery

Used a photodirector filter to give this photo a bit of a twist. The building is semi derelict like many others in Stoke-on-Trent. They sit huddled in the landscape, settling gently into decay. Some owners of the old pot banks just leave them. Maybe one day to be renovated. At one stage there were plans to turn some of them in museums. But money doesn’t come this way very often. We are lucky to have places like the Gladstone pottery museum and Middleport pottery open for visitors, but so many more are falling down. A sad situation.

Outdoor cat asleep

He came in, asked for a love, sniffed our boy cat. Thought about getting on my lap. Then he walked over to the settee, kicked a toy mouse for about thirty seconds (holding it with his forepaws, kicking with his back legs), then his eyes closed and he gel fast asleep!

Meanwhile my boy cat watched proceedings but remained inside a cardboard box we’ve given him to curl up in. The girl cat is lying over the radiator on her cat tree.. What happens next?

Baby raspberries

I went out to take photos of our hanging baskets and took a photo of these at the same time. I was lucky to see them because they are a bit further into the garden.

I was surprised because they didn’t flower earlier in the year. I’m sure they won’t ripen, but I’ll give them 10/10 for trying!

I never know which bits of a flower are stamens bur whatever the little bits of fluffy stuff are, but you can clearly see where the ones that have been pollenated have started to turn into green fruit.

I’m pleased the photo turned out so clear, it was windy and hard to get the phone camera to focus.
