Playing with colours and textures. Who needs AI when you can play with things yourself? This time I started with an acrylic on canvas, then I used photodirector and incollage apps to play with the images. I’m getting some interesting effects.
New paintings and regular art updates.

These are my knees and a very patterned carpet. It’s been put through various style and texture choices in photodirector and also incollage. I like adding and changing textures in these apps, it makes things more interesting.

Bird, digitally drawn in Artrage, duplicated by incollage app (finger painting using various tools)

Dawns coming a little earlier everyday. It’s almost a month since the shortest day in the Northern Hemisphere (getting dark slightly earlier in the South).
I only really feel the year has turned when there’s still a bit of light in the sky at 5pm. I remember work days when I would go to the work in the dark and home in the dark. I’m just waiting, hoping for sunlight and warmth.

Playing with collage and filters.
It started out as a photo taken through my bedroom window, as I shake I got interesting trails of light. Then by putting the photo through the same filter 3 times I got this laminated effect.
I like the simple colours, black, white and blue. I think the pattern I created looks like a butterfly. I also think it looks a bit like an xray..

Photo with four parts duplicated symmetrically. Done in InCollage. The photo was from four years ago. I like the effect. It’s slightly bizarre and surreal. I might do some more.

Added texture and duplicated the primrose photo. I do like doing this sort of pattern. I like the way the crinkles in the leaves are enhanced. I used photodirector, incollage and Instagram to change the image.

Digital drawing in response to some celtic knot drawings I did thirty or forty years ago. I started with Artrage, then used photodirector app and incollage, finally I used a filter in Instagram. Sketching the patterns was easier for me back in those days, but by using digital technology I can create more complaxity.

Sketchfu drawing collaged four times. The layers are the circular pens on sketchfu alternating light and dark, then shaded with lower opacity browns and greys to give a 3D effect. I think the result looks quite abstract and alien.
