Cat in a bag

Like all great speleologists my cat likes exploring tight and small spaces. For instance she found a pack of felt pens in this bag.

Her caving experience also includes behind the bathroom sink pedestal, under the washing on the laundry airer, and underneath my hubby’s overcoat where it touches the floor. She will lie in wait, or extend a paw quietly to catch her brother as he is passing. A miniature lion in her den.

Fork handles or Four candles?

Just found this old drawing, I was playing with words. There is a comedy sketch by a duo in the 1970’s. It’s a bit like Monty Pythons dead parrot sketch in that it is a classic British comedy sketch. This one was by the Two Ronnie’s (Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett). In it one of them goes into a shop and asks for various objects and the other one brings things out that sound the same but are different. Hence the ‘four candles /fork handles joke.

Anyway that’s what the writing on this is about. I think I was trying to mimic graffiti.

The cat comes knocking…

Knock knock!

Bash the cat flap

So it rattles

Let me in!

Ouside cat

Wants in

But won’t come through

The cat flap.

I let him in..

He eats..

Then yowl!

He wants out.

No the cat flap

Is only set to open

Inwards…

I let him out

Ten minutes later..

Knock knock!

Cheeky cat!

Who owns who?

Imagined characters

We had to imagine some characters to add to an illustration so I drew these. I’m not sure whether they are OK. I did a large face so it comes forward in the image, a genie that eminates from the gas fire in the illustration and a fairy just taking in the view…

The resulting image is quite strange, with added fix, owl, horse, bug and cat. Then I added some flowers and plants..

Bad photos so I used filters on my phone then Instagram to bring out the colours, I need to find a way of taking pictures without shadows and glare on the page….
