New paintings and regular art updates.
Drew over yesterday’s monster to create something else. A little parrot or budgie? If I don’t do anything else artistic I’m still doing doodles. Still using Artrage app to draw interesting images. It’s just an imaginary bird. Tomorrow is a new day, perhaps I can do something more than a sketch. X
Both these images started out the same. One I adjusted to add texture. The other I used a mozaic, fisheye and inverting tool. It’s fun to digitally finger paint. I need to get my PC working so I can do something more complex and finely manipulated. I’m learning all the time.
I’m having fun digitally altering that old painting. It’s given me an idea of what I might do to it. One thing about digital manipulation is that you get a regular pattern across the whole piece. It looks much more modern. I may do thus in reality.
I decided to play with my latest doodle, I used a sketching app to add the facial details, then photodirector to smooth out the rough edges. I do like to experiment with analogue and digital images.
A friend gave us a frog

Then realised my hubby
Had placed it there
For amusement!
Sundays #bandofsketchers prompt was strikes. Here I am again with a sideways idea. Strike a rock with a hammer and you might find an ammonite or another fossil within it. I have been to Lyme Regis and cliffs near Whitby and found fossils there…

This was an experiment using photoshop from 2002. It’s actually a woman’s profile. And goodness knows what filter I used for it. I like finding ols things. It makes me remember I’ve been doing things like this for twenty years!
Exciting. Yes to me, this wrinkled flower is changing by the day. If the weather warms up it might open in the next couple of days. Green and pink? Will it change colour too? Concentrating on one flower, but it looks interesting to me. It reminds me of a stormy sea. Waves crashing against each other….. Ooo I’m so excited!
Green and red complementary coloured abstract. Drawn digitally in a sketching app then manipulated in photodirector. The plate is a background you can place your design into in photodirector. The final image is a close up of the “dancers”. Maybe this idea is something I can pursue. The idea was inspired by a programme about Henri Mattise on Sky Arts.
