Frog

A friend gave us a frog

Ceramic and cold

Eggs or snails it holds

In its mouth.

Halfway up the willow

Crawling and hopping

But static.

I, startled

Backed away…

Then realised my hubby

Had placed it there

For amusement!

Frogs are fun subjects! I was thinking of some I made long ago and might try to do again in the future.
