Going to bed

Before midnight!

It must be a blue moon, or an eclipse, but going to bed before midnight? Unheard of in this house! I think I’ve tired myself out. I have a book I want to read snuggled under my pillow. I’m not interested in the film my hubby is watching, something with Bruce Willis being brutal. I attended an on line singing festival for six hours today, then went shopping (walked there and back), then finally an evening walk. My arm, knees and feet hurt. Enough. Goodnight.

Just back from an evening walk…

Cold, dark, windy

Not wet yet

Clouds cross the sky

Blot the stars

Sunset brings chill air

Creeping across the land,

Grass flattens against its cheek.

One step then another

Striding? More a cold shuffle

Tired feet and knees

But I keep going.

My walk is short for you.

But it’s enough for me….

Down the river trent

Our four and a half mile walk today. Along the river Trent and back along side streets. The river had fallen trees across it. There was litter and willow trees springing to life. Not exactly the romantic scene I imagined.

The Trent starts nearby and wends it way north and east till it reaches the North sea at Hull. I wonder how long it takes a molicule of water to travel along its whole length… One of the things you ponder as you walk along!

I am a lightweight!

After days of walking decent distances the last two have been a bit of a disappointment. Yesterday I walked uphill though, and got my heart points in. Today it was only because I had to deliver the car to the garage for repairs and walk home via a cafe for a takeaway breakfast, go and help a friend with an online form because she was struggling with filling it in, and this evening going shopping in the local supermarket to collect essentials like milk and bread. During the day I also took part in a lecture that overran somewhat and was busy trying to catch up with household tasks. I have got to do a couple of observational drawings to catch up my weekly quota. I will try and post the results of them later. Still got to wash the shopping (yes I do that) and consider working on an editorial illustration that we have to create for college thus week. But now I’m sitting down with the cat on my lap. Might have a quick nap!

My poor stats!

Walking with my friend and with my hubby every day is tiring and by the time I come back and get through college work, then I don’t have as much time to blog here.

I still enjoy blogging, I’m trying to share more art, but perhaps I need to write a few more things? I hope I haven’t disappointed anyone following me. I want to entertain and inform if I can… See you tomorrow!

26.3 miles

26.3 miles

That’s how far I walked this week.

It’s not far for some people but it is far to me…I’ve also got my hubby out walking. He’s tired but he’s enjoyed the couple of times he’s been out. Next week I hope to go a little bit further. Maybe by doing a couple of walks a day? We will see… And I almost walked a Marathon this week. X
