Fed up of AI

I keep seeing images of things that are clearly done with AI, people with scrambled faces or 6 fingers. I love astronomy, but sometimes the pictures can’t be real. There are videos of the moon being hit by a massive asteroid and disintegrating, or photos purporting to be close ups of black holes. At best these are using AI for artistic licence or an impression of what something looks like. But at worst they are meant to fool you. Maybe to confuse or to scam? I’m glad there is an option now for people to label their posts as AI generated. But do you think the scammers would use labels? I doubt it.

What’s also annoying is that websites use algorithms, if you like this you might want to look at something similar. But the new group isn’t necessarily well managed and then the garbage sneaks through.

So beware of what you see and try and fact check if you can. Don’t be fooled or scammed.

Headache

My heads been aching all day….

I don’t normally get headaches. I have a pain behind my eyes, a thudding. I hope it goes soon. I think its caused by tension. I also ache, I hope it’s not some sort of bug. I’ve had a buzzing in my ears for a few days, maybe I need my ears syringing?

I’ve had some tablets, I hope they kick in soon. It feels scary. But it will pass. I’ll see how I feel in a bit x

Our Art group

I forgot to talk about being in an art group because I was interested in what I had painted. I know that talking to people helps my mood, it’s just going that’s the problem….

I knew I needed to get some sleep but after going to bed relatively early I was awake from 4 in the morning until 9am. Then I fell asleep again so I was late getting to the group.

I am glad I went. It was a good session. I managed to work on my green woman painting. I noticed how helpful people are making suggestions and supporting each other. Sometimes I just keep my head down and just concentrate on what I’m doing. But listening today made me feel less anxious. X

Olympics

She wasn’t going to watch the Olympics in Paris, it was on the TV but she knew if she watched her countries athletes they would lose.

In the last games she had watched assiduously and each and every player had come to grief. The swimmer hit her head on the wall as she tried to tumble turn. The cyclist had a puncture, the gymnast got tangled up in the rings. No she could not watch.

But then, the first days results were on the news. There were mishaps galore. Maybe it wasn’t her mental influence that was causing disasters? She realised she should watch, and enjoy. She didn’t realise that it was an alien who had infiltrated her countries team. Until he left they were jinxed. He was investigating the emotion despair and this was merely a scientific experiment for him.

He used to ring me…

Hubby used to ring me from work in the evenings, he worked a late shift for several years. He didn’t go out to work till the afternoon and came home after midnight. I worked a day shift, so we really only saw each other over a late night meal or at weekends. Then his firm changed the shifts, so he had to start an hour later and finish later too. They also made the workers take a day off in the week and have to work Sunday mornings too. It was awful. That telephone call was our only communication in the evening.

He hated the job and was being bullied. He went to work on a motorbike and a few times when he got home late he was so exhausted he would fall off it. He used to say that he did more work than two people. Sometimes they would take on new workers but they could not keep up with him and some would not come in the next day because they could not cope.

I was so glad when he finished there. We managed to spend few good years together before he died.

I realise now why I can cope without him in the evenings, I spent so many years waiting for him to come home, and that’s why I struggle to sleep at night, my mind expects him to return later.

Nowhere

If you won two free plane tickets, where would you go?

Never flown, never will. Too scared. I like insects, snakes, spiders, I don’t mind thunder and lightning.

I’m not so scared of flying I guess, just the prospect of crashing. Plus I have no control over the airplane. At least if I’m in a car, train or on a boat I could stop and get out, get off at a station, or jump overboard and swim if necessary.

But planes? No! So if I won two free plane tickets I would give them to someone who needed them, or to relatives so they could fly over and visit me. Or auction them off for charity? I don’t know.

I keep seeing adverts where you can win houses over a million pounds. But I won’t enter the draw. How would I keep a massive house warm? How to light it? How to clean it? I don’t have spare cash. Perhaps I could rent out rooms. But it’s a pipe dream. If I won I wouldn’t want it. I would give it to a charity possibly or sell it to someone else who wants it. I just need enough money to stay comfortable and manage to live on for the rest of my life. X

Scrolling

Why.

Today has been a “nothing” day. I had a letter that upset me this morning and I tried to contact some support but there was no reply. I wrote a long winded email and sent it although I doubt it will help.

All day my ears have been whistling and whooshing. I think my ears are slightly blocked although I have slight tinnitus sometimes. That’s made me feel under the weather.

It was a mainly gray day. I didn’t want to go out so I basically spent a lot of time scrolling through my phone. It’s not good. I was also watching TV out the corner of my eye, the epitome of multi tasking. Now I’m not sure what to do. I don’t have a plan. I’m very stuck, procrastinating. Help!
