Cat in a box
Just had his tea
Now he can sleep
I’ll let him rest
And get the best
Afternoon kip,
With some of the catnip!
New paintings and regular art updates.

Two on an armchair
One one the floor
By the heater
So three tiers actually.
The Third too far away to fit
My companions
Warmth seeking
I’m saving money
Radiators only on a few hours
But they are happy….

Medium cat (left) and large cat (right) like to sleep on this chair. Usually there is a single occupant, but tonight they are sharing. The little cat is on the floor just exploring to find somewhere to settle down.
I’m glad they tolerate and cope with each other, the small cat is nervous and sometimes has a paw raised to her, but there’s very rarely a squabble and usually they chase together to pay. I think I will go and settle down too. I’m struggling to keep my eyes open, the cats have the right idea. X

It was warm in my bedroom last night, so my cat who usually sleeps on the floor next to my bed must have decided to sleep on the windowledge where it’s a bit cooler. The ivy and buddliea growing outside help shade the stairs landing. I need to cut it back but it will be costly. Meanwhile the cat snoozes happily.

My cat has gone missing. He’s a large cat with a distinctive smudge on his nose. He might have got shut in somewhere if he’s found a place to sleep in the shade. I’ve looked round the garden, round the back of the house. I’ve knocked on neighbours doors. I’ve been down to the pdsa but they haven’t had him handed in. I rang the local vets, but they are closed till Monday so I rang their emergency vets but they are in Nantwich. He was abandoned by his previous owners who would not speak to the cats protection league so I was never able to get his microchip changed over. He’s a very loving cat, very big, he might have gone up to someone. All I can hope is he might be asleep somewhere because of the heat. But then he comes in for a drink and food? I don’t know what to do. Posted to Facebook.
What time do you go to bed and wake up currently?

I’m not sure when I’m going to bed if I’ll be able to sleep. So therefore I don’t know what time I will wake up! I’ll try and get to bed at the same time each night but then anxiety or pain or other health issues can keep me awake.
Basically I try and sleep on my sides or back, but then find I need to turn over, before having to move again. Never really getting comfortable. I also generally wake up once or twice during the night, which means that I often don’t get back to sleep again.
After a restless night I may sometimes stay asleep till lunchtime. It’s a good thing that I’m not working in a nine to five job!

He slept on my arm.
I awoke feeling squashed
Basically squished by a cat
I had to move, but arm was numb
It took ages to wake up
Then ages for my arm to wake up.
Meantime I put him on the settee
But he didn’t stay
Instead he’s gone out in the rain…
Miffed!

Sharing the settee, two cats, relaxed and sleeping. They do tend to hang up on their sister though. So she sleeps upstairs and these two snuggle down on the crocheted blanket.
The big cat has started snoring. The middle one sleeps quietly. The third,, small one, hopped up the stairs a few minutes ago. The house is settling down for the night.

Comfy, with lots of leg room. The cat has found a soft spot. A good, cat king size sofa!
Snuggled up on crochet blankets, there would be space for five or six cats at least, but he’s king of the castle, top of the tree, so relaxed. I wish I could be so settled. I’m jealous of his comfort, but I’ll let him be. X
Do you have any collections?

It started small, two paperweights in blue and red with gold and silver leaf surrounded by clear glass globes. I loved the way the centres were embedded and I’ve always thought they look like small planets.
The skill and attention of the glass blowers that made them sparked an interest that has stayed with me, so every so often I will treat myself to a new one.
They have to be sturdy because the windowledge they are on to catch the light is also my cats favourite sun trap, so they have been knocked off onto the floor a few times “thud”, but no breakages luckily.
Also luckily they have not acted as lenses and heated up or set fire to anything! Always check it’s safe to place them. I wouldn’t put them where they can act as magnifying glasses to focus bright sunlight. My window is shaded by trees.
I have other collections but this could get quite boring!
