Glass window?

I was playing around with a photo of the stained glass windows in the church and came up with this. I sort of like it although I’m not sure the church would. When you use flood fill it causes a loss of details so you can’t see the faces on the image. I chose a rainbow flood fill so could create circles on top of the image.

Circles

curves and angels

winged with colour

flying high.

Art with rainbows

Black reflections,

illuminating and obscuring.

Circular arguments,

simple shapes

scriptural thoughts

saints and sinners,

seperated by glass.

6am, sunlight creeps in

and bathes the dusty books

with a golden glow

chases away the cobwebs

sings loudly by the door

breaks vases with a sparkle

finds dust motes in the air.

Sunlight cleans and bleaches

exposes over and over

till red book covers are faded

now salmon pink

Sunlight tinged with heat

warms your head

tickles your feet

raises a smile

makes you feel alive

a photosynthetic dash

of vitamin D

Sunlight is Life.

Such a lovely tree

Cooper beech

See me.

Burnished copper and purple,

deep shine

So fine,

I want you to be mine.

Plant you in the garden,

Let your roots entwine

Copper Beech you beauty,

you are so fine.

Copper and bronze

draped leaves

Hanging above our heads,

Shining in the summer sun.

Autumn, your leaves are shed.

Drop, drip

Spot, spip,

Slow trickle

down my window pane.

Spop, slip

Plop, plop.

Water from above

Sloshes down the path,

Rumble, rip

Flashing hit,

Thundered grumbles

and lightening crumbles,

Tree cracks

Branch slaps

Wind howls

Drop,

Slurp,

Splurt,

Slosh,

Gurgle

Glug.

Mud,

Downpour!

I like celtic knot work, winding and swirling.

Celtic Knots

Twisting and turning

Crissing and crossing,

Lines overlaying

Then tucked under.

Celtic knots,

Tied together in mystery

Telling celtic history.

Animal terminals

Dogs and wolves

Entwining figures

Gurning faces,

Knotted laces,

Beautiful complexity…….

Thunder unravels the sky

Lightning flashes coruscate over the ruins

The world spirals around you.

Forcing the trees to bend down to your power.

Thors hammer beats the ground.

Another flash, a bough falls.

Stones crash and crump

Thudding down onto the ground.

Your hands conduct a symphony of gestures.

One more flash, then you are gone.

I’m craving bright plants and flowers,

Summer sun and bright blue skies,

Hanging baskets

Piled up with blousy flowers

Swiss chard and marigolds

Poppies and antirrhinums

Names that scramble on the tongue

But bloom on the ground.

Days to sit on the patio getting hot,

Or in the summerhouse keeping cool

……. Instead? Rain and wind!

With white mittens,

Golden eyes

Glint in the light.

Bouncing about,

Jumping with energy,

I came across this photo from about 5 years ago….

When attending a moustache workshop

Be careful where you put the glue

You might end up looking like Rembrant

Laughing like a cavalier.

You might end up with curling eyebrows,

Or with a twisting beard.

Just don’t go mad with super glue

Or you might have it for Years!
