Black and white cat

Sits where it likes…

Finds a seat, on anything, climbs net curtains, is lovable, purrs, attacks toes, eyes are bright, eats what it likes. Ignores consequences, follows its own path, pees in the bath, doesn’t know maths. Can eat its own bodyweight in tuna. Dances with wolves? No with kitties! By the light of the moon. Jellicles is a nickname. Fleas are to blame for its itches. Cats mighty have intellects, especially when it comes to food, sleep, and love.

Shelter

Tuesdays #bandofsketchers prompt was Shelter.

This is a bit late. Shelter flummoxed me until I saw my cat getting in a box. Then I looked up cat shelters online. Expected to see cat charities but it came up with a load of sweet shelters for outside cats. This pyramid shaped one with a little porch seemed ideal. I don’t know if the door closes but it looks snug. X

Huge spider

I just looked down because I saw something from the corner of my eye… A huge house spider was boldly walking out from under my armchair! I don’t mind spiders normally, but I jumped! My hubby gently picked up the spider… And put it on the other side of the room! They are good for catching insects. I think it had come out to look for food. It had better watch out though. I’m afraid out cats patrol for them and sometimes catch them.

Relaxed cat

Cat next to a box of my minature paintings that I did a few years ago. He’s come in from the cold. He knocked the cat flap door off again (his tummy is too big for it sometimes). He’s not exactly fat, just big, huge, massive! You can see he’s at least as big as the box. He takes up most of a seat on our three seater settee. He is a handsome cat, with golden, yellow eyes. Such a cool character.

Lick

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was lick. Tried to get a photo of my cat but it took a while in the end I dabbed a bit of cream off the milk on his nose. I think he quite liked it! I used dark blue felt pen and pale metallic green because all my pens are running out. I still have some maroon colour left. A bit of tippex for the whiskers. Plus a very dried up black felt pen and a black liner pen, also running out. And the photo was a bit blurred. I’m tired.

Cats on boxes

A comfy sofa, a place to curl up and sleep.. But my cat loves boxes. Open or closed. If it’s made of cardboard he will lie on it or sleep in it! Forget cat beds, I’ve got three or four, but apart from one very enclosed covered over one he would rather sleep on a box.

I’m expecting a bit of rivalry though, the space next to this box has a towel on it that my other boy cat has been sleeping on. When he comes in I will see what happens.

Cat again

Big head, tiny paws. An example of foreshortening. Those dark eyes do stare at me. You have to be a mind reader sometimes with cats. But they are persuasive. In this case its his ‘feed me…’ look. Then when he’s eaten he’ll be back out through the cat flap. Padding around in the dark, exploring his territory.

You know, cats are sneaky. They get humans round their little paws. They are incredible cheeky creatures!

Cat, black and white.

Two photos of one of the cats. There are lots of clashing colours on our setee so I chose a black and white filter to unify them. It also creates a more obvious wave pattern in the crocheted background. The pictures are slightly blurred bacause he was moving as I took them. He’s got beautiful gold coloured eyes. As I write this he is lying down and snoring!
