Chasing, running
Playing, jumping
Pouncing, leaping
Happy, racing
Running fast
Speedy paws
Get that toy!
Pounce on the mouse!
So much catnip!
Cheeky face!
New paintings and regular art updates.

The snow has gone for now
Warm winds blow from the south
Clear frosty mornings
Left behind
Rain and showers
Water the blossom and flowers
Cold chill twigs
Now wet with buds.
Birds collect bugs
and think of lining their nests
With moss and fluffy stuff
Warm and snuggled
For eggs and chicks
Farewell Winter.
See you later in the year
As the seasons turn.

Winter flees as sun rises higher
Dawn comes sooner
Sunset later
The Earth tips North
sees more of the Sun.
Ground warms
Rain falls, buds swell.
Soon the world will be green
Again.
But in the South?
Autumn makes gains.

It’s raining folks!
Heavy rain that splashes
Wet rain that soaks
Cloudbursting showers
That fall with a splat!
Water from heaven
Falls on the ground
Seeps down below it
By tree roots, found.
Spring needs it’s water
For flowers to grow
But why must it fall in lumps?
I really don’t know!

Never seen his eye colour before
Golden and Rich
Like butter or strong mustard.
His eyes glint and gleam
Slitted irises watch carefully
I could dip a bread soldier
In the yolk of his eyes.
Golden orbs full of mischief
Glamour and magic.
Turn them on me
I am under his spell…

Cry for them
Cry for the mothers
The grand parents
Children and babies
Cry for them
Cry for the men
Bombed and shelled
Shot
Cry for the lost lives
The hope destroyed.
Cry for the humans
And animals
All of them lost.
Sheltered in basements
In cellars and underpasses
Cry for all victims
Across the world.
Ukraine, Syria, Yemen
So many more wars
When do the tears stop?

Flight, winged
Flap above
Flutter round
Feathered friend
Fast flight
Finch beaked
Beat wings
Bird shaped
Beak opened
Sing beautifully

I posted this on Instagram and my friend said she could see my third eye!
I like to be obscured
And obscure
Hide my light
Under a bushel.
Blue and red and grey
Like an old TV set
With a cracked screen
A play for today
Trying hard
Not to implode
But dissappear into
The fog of time
Faded in the light

Just a face to look at
To assess and see
Is it friendly or anxious?
Or angry about me?
This face is slightly pensive
Thinking about the world
Everythings so expensive
As into the future she’s hurled!
This is a nonsense poem.
Not much point at all
Just keep the rhyme going
Or will this poem stall!

I can’t change things
But I can remember
I can think
Help where I can.
I might be safe
But people from other countries
Are they going to survive?
Can they sleep at night?
Amidst the bombs.
Remember Blue and Yellow
