My college course is getting us to make sets and draw from them. So I’ve created this bizarre landscape. The figures were decorated at a pottery workshop. The goat figurine was made by my friend Rie. The baby Buddha was a gift from a friend. The plants are from the kitchen as is the grater. Now I’ve got to redraw it but use my imagination to change it…. M
I really enjoy the chance to draw people so tonight’s lockdown drawings were fun. I’m trying out using permanent markers to give the faces a bit more definition. Maybe I can use watercolour next week? I did a pose too, I might try and draw myself as it’s been recorded. Not today though. A lot to catch up on…
#bandofsketchers prompt was corners and as I was in another Zoom, why not draw the corners of the computer? It’s a quick sketch and I didn’t do a good portrait. I also got the date wrong, should read 16.2.21, x

I’ve drawn a cat on a window ledge in front of a net curtain, its black and white and drawn with Autodesk Sketcher app and ArtRage app. But when I’ve tried to change the image size wordpress is saying media not found, so this image may not show up on the post… I’m publishing it these what happens…
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was tubes. Couldn’t think of what to do until I thought.. Vacuum cleaner! I do like his eyes! It’s fun having a friendly character to help with the cleaning.
Tonight’s portrait drawing session with illustrators on my course. We each take turns to sit for each other. Ten minute sketches. I admire how still people can be!
A group of us are holding video drawing meetings where we draw each other. Tonight was the first one. Remind me to use pencils next time, the pens I used were a bit harsh…
Oops. I don’t think I walked 207 miles today, schoolgirl mistake..
It’s like a probe that was sent to Mars a few years ago. They failed to convert distances from Kilometers to Miles (or the other way round). The robe crashed, no matter what you do there will always be human error.
So if I add up all my miles over this challenge I’m hoping it will take me well over 207…we will see. X
Today we were looking at the meanings of illustrations and signs, whether they are iconic (cat mug) a symbol (swimming badge?) or another option that I can’t remember! I get a bit tied up with these ideas, I will get it, I know, but just trying to explain it makes my head hurt.
Anyway it’s surprising how much illustration there is around us. My favourite is the Ludford Ginger bottle. What had the train got to do with it?
