#bandofsketchers prompt was flag, just experimenting with digital textures. I used Artrage for this with a slight metallic tinge. It’s not very exciting but I’m trying to drag myself back into doing art.

One of my old digital drawings I did a few years ago on a website called sketchfu that has sadly closed. Each week we were set a challenge to draw from a photo. I got quite good at it even though there were only a few tools on the site. I’d like to know what pottery the set was made at. I think it looks quite neat.

Oh the joy of a happy cat
Smiling teeth, sharp claws
Ready to pounce
Satisfied with his hunting skills
He can stay in the house
Leave birds
Play with his toy mouse!
Stay happy but quiet!
Good cat!

Put my digital drawing through an app called photodirector. I chose the AI scene option. You can see how it’s affected the image.

Drawn on my Wacom tablet in photoshop 12 years ago. Based on the Escher drawing. I think I was drawn to the idea of a hand holding a reflective ball. This was a real challenge and was mainly drawn from imagination, but I looked at my hand held up in this position to draw it accurately.
The room in the reflection is based on what was in front of me but with added curves to try and recreate the spherical feeling. The room had been ‘edited’ removing some of the clutter. The view is not what would have been reflected in a globe which was a wall behind me. Only my head and shoulders were truly imagined.

A busy abstract pattern that evolved in a couple of apps. Not very neat and tidy and only done this because I couldn’t think of anything else on the busy theme. For prompt “busy” #bandofsketchers

Artrage digital drawing. I saw some poppies against a grey sky and I decided to quickly draw a representation of the colours. Drawn using a stylus rather than a finger painting. I like the ways the stems aren’t always straight.

I’ve jut tried to alter the drawing of a gold bangle I drew for another post. I’ve smudged the outside and added white to the centre then a blue pupil with white highlights. I also rotated the image by 90°.
I’ve ended up with an eye apparently floating in space. Perhaps I should add stars?

Drawing of flowers done on the sketchfu app 6 years ago. This was influenced by the Chelsea Flower Show that happens in May every year. My favourite plants are included here, marigolds, pansies, poppy, for instance. I hope my yard looks a bit more like this in a month or so.

Drawn on the old sketchfu website. I used a circular tool and layered up the colours, then I used a smaller circle set at a lower opacity to add the shade and highlights. It was a really simple site to use, I wish it was still open for use.
