Midnight snack?

I can’t sleep, my bad leg is achy and itchy, I’m hungry because we had tea hours ago. I want comfort food. Sweet but not full of sugar. I found a croissant in the fridge and cut it in half lengthways. I’ve peeled a banana and I’m having a banana croissant. For a warm drink I’ve got a mug of milky decaffeinated tea. Not sure if any of this will make me feel better. I’m also surrounded by three cats intermittently mooching round me, coming up for attention, purring and poddling. 2.38am, aching, possible indigestion and cats. What a combination!

Hubbys idea of tea.

Crackers, cheese, butter, banana.

No vegetables, no other colours

No salad, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce?

Not tempting, maybe tasty?

Cheese is salty, crackers are salty.

Not sure if I should eat the banana

Butter is salted.

I’m thirsty!

Give me time

I’ll try and teach him

Meanwhile? Yum?

Croissant and banana!

I wanted something to eat and I decided to have a couple of croissants. I split them and spread a bit of butter on them, but I shouldn’t eat jam, so what else? I saw a banana, it’s a similar shape so I sliced along it’s length horizontally. One half folded into each puff pastry croissant. Delicious! I might try them with whipped cream next time!

I can see mice?

It started as another feather post, then someone pointed out it looks like mice. (maybe eating a slice of banana?) I used a straightening tool to make the feather twist round and the layout to mirror it. I’m not sure how many more feather photos I can do before I get bored by the idea…. Or not!

I’ve also noticed that the feathers could look like wings beating up and down. You can see how the photos can be changed by using filters in Instagram.

Tomatoes ripening-at last!

A few tiny tomatoes, some from our plants, most from an allotment we helped on. I think they were brought on by some ripe bananas that give out a gas which helps ripen fruit around them. My hubby says the chemical symbol for the gas is Ethene (previously called Ethylene) CH2=CH2….We have a few apples too. I used a cooking apple yesterday with some cider to make a very tasty apple sauce. I’m going to use the rest of the apples up in a cake.
