Editing a digital drawing that I made in Artrage. I used photodirector to create several variations, then incollage to create a compilation of them so you can see the steps I took.
Does it look like a good portrait? No. Its more of an abstract idea. I could try using this on an actual painting, I will have to decide if I can do it as this is a finger painting again.
Digital drawing of David Tennant from ten years ago. Drawn at a now defunct website called Sketchfu. I’d come in from work and go and draw on line to relax. I’ve always loved the BBC Sci fi series Dr Who and David Tennant in the modern era, and Tom Baker in the classic series were my favourite Dr’s.

A few years ago I did a painting of the bone and flint mill in Etruria. I exhibited it in a small exhibition and I ended up getting four commissions to paint it again!
I had to give each painting a different name, not flint mill 1,2,3 and 4, but slightly different wordings for each.
I only remember this because the photos appeared on Facebook memories. It shows, I think, that I AM a real artist, just because I’m not doing much at the moment. I have paintings to finish, but dear old artists block keeps biting me in the bum. Things I have to do get in the way. Life gets in the way.

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was cross. I decided to try and draw some sort of jewel like cross. It got a bit messy as a felt pen drawing so I edited it adding texture with photodirector AI style and then added a background to it in the same app.
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was repair. I’m currently trying to sew up jeans that are falling apart. I’m trying to do tiny stitches to hold things together. Left side, actual stitching, right, my attempt at a drawing of it!
When you lay a sketchpad flat and draw something or someone it makes the image elongated if you look at it from above. This is because the image stretches but is foreshortened by the angle you are drawing from. I hope this makes sense? Anyway this is an ink drawing with an italic pen. It is of my hubby reading.

I called it “fair fat and forty”, which was actually a statement radiographers used to use for the risk having gallstones!
I must have been feeling a bit fed up when I painted it. The picture was taken off another photo so it’s a bit pixelated. I shall have to find the painting and take a better photo. I was wearing a favourite tee shirt recycle, repair, reuse. And I’m in front of books with humourous titles that I made up… I can’t read them here. I tend to do a self portrait every ten years or so. X
Digitally manipulated photo of vaccum packed crochet blanket, added symmetry with the incollage app and then drew over it with the Sketchbook app. I suppose butterflies are quite symmetrical. It’s an interesting effect I think. I’m not sure whether to do anything else to it. I’ll see later.
