Facebook memories is great for reminding me of things like this. All four kittens went to good homes. I’m pleased with the contrast on this, it looks like an old painting. X

Mona
Two years ago I painted the mona lisa on zoom for a charity event, I did it over just a few hours. Other people did performances, I did this! Madness! Thank you Facebook for the memory.
It was actually sold off to raise money at the end of the event. It’s acrylic on canvas, and was a real challenge!
Garden nine years ago
We had lots of aqualegias and tulips, geraniums, and alliums. The photos just popped up on my Facebook page. I forgot how much the trees have grown up in the intervening years. We are cutting some of the branches back, to let more light in. The photos were a bit blurred but it was good to see them. Gardening is a lovely pastime. When you get results like this it makes the work worthwhile.
A four year old poem!
Off to bed I’d better go,
Not been sleeping well you know.
Now my head will hit the pillow,
Dreams arrive, and nightmares billow.
Give me sleep to round the day,
Make it sweet not cruel or fey.
A deep and dream less sleep I crave,
Like one beneath the very grave.
To wake anew to summers day.
And hope my hayfever keeps well away!

Memory from 2013
Drawing from 2013, popped up on my Facebook memories. I drew it at the now defunct website sketchfu. Sadly closed because the owners didn’t have the resources to keep it running and towards the end barely communicated with its users. It was a simple drawing site, a few pen sizes, colour picker and palette, and an opacity and eraser button. It was overwhelmed by users writing youth fiction (is that the term). I was a moderator after drawing a few thousand pictures. It’s hard to monitor places like that. So busy!
There are a lot of other drawing sites out there depending on your skill set. I liked Youdraw (basic black and white), 2draw (complex using applets), floating ginkgo (complex) wetcanvas (I forget). Have a look. I found them before I got an android phone and got directed to stuff via Google play which doesn’t seem to show you community drawing sites.
How did I do this?
I don’t actually remember! I do like the colours. I think it’s ferns…. I like the idea of negative images. Like they are indented….. I’m going to have to find the app!
