I saw a dragon
Hiding in plain sight
Standing by graffiti
Under a street light
But when I looked away
And looked again
I say!
The dragon it was gone
It decided not to stay!
I just wanted a pic
On my phone
But it was too quick!
So sadly all I have
Is its tail- just the tip
And a shower of loose scales
One of many epic fails!
Goodbye dragon
And now you’re gone!
Watercolour and felt pen ‘scales’ digitally manipulated to create a jazzy pattern. To dazzle and bemuse? What kind of creature could stand next to this and be hidden? A chameleon dragon of course? Can you see him? No? Didn’t think so! He’s magic!

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt is laughter. Well I tried to channel laughter and came up with a rather evil looking clown! Doodled this late last night then coloured it in this morning when I could see what colours I was using… Eek!
Butterfly drawing. Done in an app called sketch. There is a symmetry section in the tools and rge main pen I used seems to make sparks like a firework sparkler. I could see something like this on a circular canvas, maybe as a statement piece in an apartment.
Combination of artrage oils sketch and then worked on in Photodirector, oo I like it! Sounds simple but I did a lot of work on the digital sketch before I started using filters. I won’t post the original, it’s a bit too scrappy.
A couple of splodges of black ink on a post it note inspired this fly doodle. Just waiting for my PC to sort itself out, I haven’t switched it on for a while and it’s playing up… So a fly in the ointment?.. Maybe
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was above. Thinking of above, anything over 5ft 6in is higher than me it could have been tree branches, buildings, Blackpool tower, but I went astronomical, Moon above Earth…, felt pen drawing.

You can probably tell, I haven’t been very active today. Bit ill, not feeling well. I found this bird collage on an old sketchbook from 2021. I decided to share it with a little limerick. I had lots to do but haven’t been out. My hubby did some shopping and I’m laying low. If I feel better later I will blog again.
Shoes under motorcycling news. My sketch for this prompt Under for #bandofsketchers on Tuesday. I was going to draw the cat under a chair I prop my easle on for painting but he moved before I could do it.
My little dragon painting has gone to a new home tonight. The new owner is really pleased with my quirky painting that I created while studying illustration. My final major project was about varieties of dragons and how they have been depicted from the earliest times across the globe. The idea could have been based on dinosaur fossils that ancient civilisations may have found. They would not have had any way to date the bones and may have seen them as contemporary to them or living within their recent history.
