#bandofsketchers prompt was corners and as I was in another Zoom, why not draw the corners of the computer? It’s a quick sketch and I didn’t do a good portrait. I also got the date wrong, should read 16.2.21, x
New paintings and regular art updates.

Water colour sketch of my owl bag, some metallic paint used on the gold feathers and copper on the eyes and beak. Another observational painting, took about twenty minutes..

Sitting drawing during our Zoom choir practice. I know most of the words to the songs so I sing along to the tune while drawing.
Most of my doodles are of members of the choir, but today I concentrated on the top of the bookcase with an old pot containing a pencil and a brush and my glasses and a CD rack. There’s also a plant creeping in from the right hand side. Ink fine line pen with coloured felt pens….

A bite out of the sun..
Sunlight dims
But the star is still bright.
Too bright to look at,
So don’t stare,
Keep your eyes
On the car window
On that puddle,
In the shadows
On the wall..
The sun might dim
And dim
Till its eclipsed.
Annular or full
Will it return
Or be gone
For good?
Blinded by the moon,

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was tubes. Couldn’t think of what to do until I thought.. Vacuum cleaner! I do like his eyes! It’s fun having a friendly character to help with the cleaning.

We had to discuss limited and free colour palettes today. I chose this red car from the children’s TV series Captain Scarlet. It was one of my favourite series when I was growing up. Sometimes a bit frightening. It was about the Mysterons from Mars who were trying to invade the Earth.
Red was my favourite colour when I was little. Not pink, never blue, just red. I don’t know why…..
I found the car in a charity shop and had to have it. I like the limited colours of red, black and silver. I had to have it.
On the windowledge drawn last night

Orchid plant observational drawing, drawn with a letter ink roller that you normally use to blot out addresses on letters. Then filled in with watercolours.

Thought I would do an observational drawing of my walking shoes. I’d been looking for them and when I found them stored in a plastic box they were covered in grey mould! I must have stored them when they were damp last year.
My hubby treated them with dilute bleach and they seem fine now. I’ve been walking in these and some dark red ones with higher ankle sides and whirr fluffy linings. I might draw them next.
I’m doing a series of observational drawings, at least one a day, do this seemed appropriate as I have been walking in them today.
Digital drawing as you can see….

I might enter the Sky Portrait Artist competition so I tried to do a sketch to base a painting on. I’ve only got tomorrow to get it done! Madness…. Or I might enter the drawing instead

Favourite digital drawing I did ten years ago at a website called sketchfu. The site is defunct but I saved some of the drawings and this one popped up today on my Facebook page. The little pink creature was Fu, the sketchfu mascot…. Spock was my favourite character followed closely by Kirk….
