Im there again
amongst the scents
of floral heaven.
baskets of joy
lavender spikes
cornflowers glowing blue.
heady pinks
nasturtiums
and twining vines.
Over all
an angel
protecting and
providing
sunshine
rain
and light.

Run from the cat
Bounce away
Scuttle mouse
Flap your ears
Fly through the air
Roll under the sofa
Scatter and sway
Never get caught
By the cat!
Sequins
Like fish scales
My sequins glint
In the afternoon sun.
Shiny and smooth
Bright and glittering
Ripe for a party frock
Or a Christmas jumper!
Alien…?
Dont look at me
with your alien eyes
hidden in the vegetation.
Your spaceship
hovering above.
Exploding clouds
hold your menace.
Making life
frightening
for the world
take your face elsewhere
the world needs peace
not warrior’s eyes.
Another day, another zoom
The days flash by
Rushing past
Flying by
Moving so fast
Day and night
Are gone
in no time
Zooming
Into another meeting!
Asleep
Nose down
Whiskers twitch
Paws paddle
Snore
Asleep
Put a paw
Over your nose
Chase mice or birds
Toys or string
Wake up refreshed
Having slept
Time to race
And chase……
She’s lovely
And cute,
And weird
And wary.
her eyes are bright
As shiny buttons
She jumps and leaps
With mad exuberance.
Behind the tv
Up the curtains
Racing upstairs
Before you can say go!
