He sits in the morn
On the windowsill at dawn
Waiting for me
Trying to see
If I’m ready to feed him
And if I still need him
A furry, purry
puddy tat
cat!
New paintings and regular art updates.

He sits in the morn
On the windowsill at dawn
Waiting for me
Trying to see
If I’m ready to feed him
And if I still need him
A furry, purry
puddy tat
cat!

A previous cat
Was mad as a hatter
Would sit in the drum
Of the washing machine
And stare out at
The other cats!
What animals make the best/worst pets?

Cats are fun
Cats are free spirits
Sometimes they love you
Sometimes they fight you
They won’t take tablets
They will eat your food
If you turn your back
If you leave a morsel
Will steal your chair
Will hide in mysterious places
Appearing at odd times
Appearing when you least expect it
Get lost when they are due at the vets
Get tangled up in your feet
Have their means of communicating
Have to have their own way!

I lost him in December.
Since then my heart has been empty.
Now I’m alone, the universe seems cold.
Like Pandoras box, but with hope gone?
I have to carry on,
But it won’t be the same,
I’ve lost him, lost his name.
Lost my heart and soul.
Gone.

His birthday,
He was no fool
We would have had on this day
A walk by a pool?
It would have been a grand day
Even if it rained
The sun is shining today
But he’s not here, my friend.
I’m sitting feeling lonely
His life came to an end
He had so much to give
Love and hugs, not only
A great wish to live!
What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?

The excitement of porridge
The joy of tablets
A cool shower
If I can afford it
Trying to get dressed
Without getting tangled
Feed the cats
Work out what I can do today
It all takes time.
Wobbly arms and leg
Don’t help my balance
Feel like I’m moaning again
Let’s just go back
To bed…..

Fish ‘n’ chips
For tea,
For me!
What a treat
So nice to eat
Warming food
To lighten my mood
Just the sort you
Add vinegar and salt to
A delicious meal
To make me feel
Purring and happy
And so is my catty!
How often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals?

Look at the sky, it’s blue,
I love that wonderful hue
I could ignore it
Pass it by
Be driven hard
Ambition charged
But then I’d miss the best of life
While dealing with the anxious strife
No time to stop and stare they say
Is not, for life a good way.
Try not to stress
Though I confess
I walk on sometimes
And miss sunshines.
What do you wish you could do more every day?

Get up in the morning with my cats
They are running around like bats
I mean silly rushing
Each one pushing
The boundaries of reason
But it’s the spring season
Jumping about then resting
And they’re always questing
To find a nook and cranny
To hide in like a canny
Cat, ready to pounce
Or at least flounce
Off in a huff
Which can be rough
To their friendly mate
Who’s left in a state
Of shock
After a sock
In the face with a paw
When they were calm before
Getting all het up
When they meet up
On the bed
They sort of see red
And chase
Yes that’s the case!
Hi jinks
When a claw sinks
In your nose
But it’s fun I suppose!
What is one word that describes you?

I decided to use the form of a limerick poem to describe the one word ‘eccentric’ that I have chosen for myself. The painting is of me as a green woman…
I’m rather eccentric, that’s me
I prefer that to ‘mad’ you see
I love paint and mess
With nothing to stress
And my mind is a buzz, like a bee!
