Staring into space,

Flaming heat
Re-makes a chick.
Nest of smoke,
Bower of flame,

New moon flits.
Phoenix rising,
In up drafted air,
Mythical beast
Bird so fair.
A thin film
Rainbow bright
Smeared on tarmac,
Immiscable,
Like oil and water
They cannot be mixed.
A molecule thick
Sliver of light.
Oil floated on water
Dropped and dripped.
A subtle play of shimmers
A gleam of glimmers,
A ray of sunlight,
Surface spread out like a pancake.
Pollution is washed away
Down drains, into soil.

Feed the bees.
Roses and autumn crocuses.
Asters and cone flowers
All sparkle and show.

Proud Leo, big cat.
Leonine, powerful, strong.
Fur and Fury,
King of the plains.
Freedom is a tiny bird
That flutters down to your hand
Perches on an outstretched finger
Preens and sings and looks you in the eye.
Freedom cannot be held still
It has to live and grow.
To fly free
An Eagle in a tiny body-
Strong and graced with beauty.
Freedom is for all,
